Every time I restart the Battle.net App on Windows, its position shifts to the left by 60 pixels.
This is kind of annoying. I want it to stay in the same position all the time (top right of my screen).
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution for this?
Have you tried going into the Settings for the App and swapping to or from Beta mode, sometimes this can help resolve odd issues like this.
Another possible solution would be to right click on the App icon and select to run it as Administrator.
I gave the beta version a try and it does not fix the issue.
A Microsoft Windows GUI application does not need admin privileges to set its window position. Nevertheless, I tried it out and that does not change the behavior.
The Battle.net App already manages to save its position on shutdown and restore it on startup, but the X value is buggy: it gets set to -60 pixels on startup. The Y value gets set correctly.
That is a pet peeve of mine as well, programs that want unrestricted and unfettered access to the entire system (but then I come from a Linux background where that practice is a definite no-no, my only Windows machine is a gaming PC).
Thanks for the reports folks.
The Battle.net Desktop App has both a Send Feedback and Report a Bug option under the Battle.net icon top left, which can be used to report these concerns directly to the team responsible for the App.
