Battle.net Authenticator

Hi,

I am looking at taking an extended break from WoW starting some point in the next few months. I’m considering multiple an expansions length break. So long term.

I still want to keep my Account open, and I still want to keep my account protected with an authenticator.

However, in the past I had a physical authenticator, but now the Authenticator is attached to the Battle.net app on my phone.

I am likely at some point to delete the app or upgrade my phone (and not move the authenticator across with it).

Is there a way that I can save the Authenticator as a code or something, so I can refer to it at a later date?

Basically, I don’t want to accidentally lock myself out of my account forever, but I also don’t want to keep the Battle.net app on my phone when I’m not playing.

Thanks.

When you open the app and go to your authenticator, click on the cog and you can see your serial and restore codes. Save them/write them down and keep them somewhere where you won’t lose them.

Also make sure your account info is correct (name, address etc.) and you can restore access to the account with an official document even if you lose the authenticator.
