Yesterday I was playing as usual, before going to sleep I downloaded Classic (to my external ssd I use for my macbook where my retail wow is also installed), turned it on to see if it’s working and went to sleep. Today I woke up, launched Battle.net and it only sees Classic. When I’m clicking on ‘locate the game’ and pointing it to WoW folder on my ssd ( i can clearly see _classic and _retail folders, both even containing all the addons I’m using) but it doesn’t see it and and redirects me to WoW Classic page on b net. I really don’t want to waste a whole day (maybe even more) not doing anything to let that 70+ gbs of wow to download.
I’ve tried reinstalling battle net (I even uninstalled classic just in case it messed bnet somehow), clicked on locate the game, chose WoW folder, looked like bnet found it, then I see it says version 0.0.0.0 and it’s downloading again over 70+Gb.
Is it disk failure? Battle net/WoW Classic somehow deleted my retail WoW ?
[edit] I’ve checked Disk Utility program to check the how much space is left on my ssd and it looks like WoW had to delete itself after I played classic and I have only 40 gb of space taken there while WoW is 70+gb to download
