Battlenet token is a scam?

Good afternoon, here is the crux of the matter. If I buy a token for $20, then I sell it for gold. A person who buys this token can get a month of play from it or $ 15 for a battle no wallet. That is, in fact, it looks like this: in my paid game time, I farm gold and buy a token for it, Blizzard takes $5 commission for this deal. Don’t you think that the 25% commission on this trade looks like a scam?

I have a feeling that Blizzard was not trying to help the players, but made them slaves to farm gold in their own game, to sell it to the rich, taking a 25% commission from each transaction, and the remaining $15 can only buy their digital goods. This looks very strange.

In fact, players who buy tokens for gold are its sellers for rich people through tokens. Dear Blizzard, could you remove this commission of 25%, otherwise it already looks like impudence.

No, not in the slightest.

Or, you know, you could just not buy them, and spite Blizzard by only paying them your €15.

It’s more than 25% where I live. A month is £10 and a token is £17. The house always wins.

It isn’t a scam but it’s a way to make people think they are “playing for free”.

Edit: my math is wrong.

I am playing for free though, i personally haven’t spent one uk penny on subs for years.

Prices are public, scam would be if Blizz is to take the cut secretly which is not the case.

Basically, when you buy a token, you don’t play for free, a rich person paid $20 for it, and you get $15 or a month of play. Consider that you earned this money when you made gold for the seller.

Yep, yes i do, i havent spent any funds whatsoever personally, so to me its free.

Where does the $5 go, can someone tell me? those. I earned $20 for the blizzard, but I got a month of the game, which is $13 for a subscription. These are huge commissions. All that $20 invested remains in the blizzard. But at the same time, I get a digital product for $13-15, in addition to the fact that I get the product in their game for other people, the commission is $5-7 for this, it’s crazy to go, this is not in any game.

Its not free. You are trading your gold farming time for someones money and middle man aka Blizz takes cut.

you got your time, you got an item they sold to another player for $20. you earned them

Goes to Blizzard, you know that you even mentioned it in the OP. However, shall say it again, no physical funds have gone from me, henceforth it is free.

That’s not a scam, it’s just called a profit. They’re completely upfront about it.

I dont gold farm, i play the game.

Its free

Ofc 30% per month interest, and a final payment of 20% of the original amount.

Compound interest ofc

This is not a profit, but a real scam. Do you know they have already made a profit of $20? when the player bought a token. They then sold him gold mined by another player. You don’t understand what I’m getting at? profit is already all these $20 invested in the game. They did not provide any goods to this player, you received it. But at the same time, you earned $ 20 for the game, and received $ 15, but you can only spend it in the game. Taking such a huge commission for this is generally disgusting and dishonorable.

you understand the simple concept of profit right? thats kinda how buisness work its not a scam thats how things work

Commission is not a profit, but a scam. Because the profit is all 20$ spent on the token, because they cannot be spent anywhere except to buy their goods. But you will get $5 less of their goods, this slavery is already complete.

ok but with that logic having a subscription is also a scam. thats simply not how it works

No, it really isn’t!
They are totally upfront as concerns cost, they aren’t hiding anything, and it is not a mandatory purchase. Ig is solely down to each individual to decide to buy or not!

Yes i do, its just you are incorrect.

Then dont partake in it, simple solution
