Battlenet updater slows 1000% now and then

Hi all,

I am writing this to ask if anyone has ever experienced the similar problem.

Every now and then, there is a minor update for WoW, like 320 MB or so. Problem is, that when I start battlenet r egularly as every other time, it decided to download with like 1 KB/s speed.

And yes, this usually happens when I come from work, put kids to sleep and cant wait to have my 35 min of WoW per day.

Does anyone have a clue why this may be happening? Note that I do not change anything in settings and sometimes it will just download these 300MB in 2 sec, and sometimes it will do it for 45 min.

I dont know why this is but i’ve seen several others have the same issue. Last friday we waited for 1,5 hours for a friend to get his update finished.

A lot of threads about some update.
I dont have any update.

It happens randomly. Its a minor update, but for some reason, updater runs on 1 KB/s, evne though no other setting is changed on my PC or anything whatsoever.

Just dont use the “Battle.net”.
Launch your game via shortcut.

You aren’t the only one affected.

Last time i had issues the only way i managed to fix it was to delete the cache and uninstall and reinstall it.

I have no idea if that will resolve your issue. There is a trouble shooting support file.

I’ve not checked the Technical Support forum, might be worth posting there.

I’ve had this happen back in SL. It took ages to update then when I finally got in I died to the first trash pack in a +2 and people were hating.
