Battle.net won't find my game

For some reason battle.net launcher no longer finds my installation of warcraft. Though this has already happened in the past, hitting “find game” and selecting wow folder would fix it, though not this time.

The error code is: Blizzard Support - BLZBNTAGT00000AF0 (battle.net)

Is there a way to fix without having to reinstall everything? Wow still works fine if I launch wow.exe from its folder directly, I just have to login manually.

make sure that you followed through with the complete installation and that you did not pause the installed. Also open the file manager, Programs Files, Warcraft system files check for _retail_. Also run a scan of the installer and for good measure rest your UI

Hey Vandalino, for your Battle.net App and WoW installation issue try the steps from here.

After resetting the Battle.net files and Battle.net Cache files as part of that, if the issue continues make a new admin account.

Then login from that new admin account and try using the steps 1 and 2 again.

Should the issue persist once that’s done you’ll need to then uninstall and reinstall WoW again.

None of the above worked, I’m now proceeding to try a fresh install. The game still works fine if I launch it from its .exe file anyway.

We’ll see if it’s back to normal in a few days I guess.

UPDATE: Apparently hitting “install” worked just as finding the game manually. It didn’t reinstall anything, it just chewed for a little bit and then unlocked the “play” button.

I guess this is solved, leaving this here for eventual future people that may encounter the same issue.
