Battle.net WoW Update error

My Battle.net launcher says WoW retail needs to update, but when I press the button to update, it states that there is an internal error. However, if I launch WoW from the directory, it logs in and plays fine. No issues with any other Battle.net games.

EDIT: Same error occurs when trying to use the Scan & Repair option. Game plays just fine when launching directly from the install folder.

It sounds like the issue is with the launcher so I would suggest the steps here.

If the issue continues after that then work through each of the steps here.

i got the same problems but i cant launch the game from the folder. Also tried the things Schwayjeck suggetsed but that dont work
