BDK and KSM

I play prot war to do my ksm it’s season but this last season I was thinking of playing my blood dk but I see a lot of commotion about being bad.
Realistically is it bad when it come to 10+> keys ?
Can you do ksm with a good challenge or it’s going to be a sweat fest and doesn’t worth it?

Last season I did ksm with my warrior with no enchants or potions or foods. Just gear from delves and vault and it was super smooth.

I know KSM isn’t that difficult but I wouldn’t like to spend my time with my dk and when I go to higher keys not be able to find groups

Yoo can get KSM/KSH/legend playing any class or any spec, the meta builds and comps are suitable for way more higher range of keys. Play whatever you like and enjoy the game.
Nobody even will check your class/spec in 2-10 range of keys if you are playing as tank, just do ur tanking job and know some basic routes/mechanics

You can definitely do both KSM and even Legend as blood DK, albeit on 10+ the amount of effort required for efficient tanking will be somewhat higher, than for prot warrior, for example.

As for finding groups, do not worry. Unlike dps or even healers, tanks are always in short supply, and I kinda noticed, the higher key I do, the easier it is to get invited, because the tank shortage becomes progressive the higher you climb.

The most non meta tank will have much easier time finding a group than the most meta DPS.

Im getting declined in 10+ keys aa tank tho

I mean our w8ing time as Tank to get into a key is still very low and I got no issues getting into +10 Keys so far

By the way I only care about KSM not anything high

everything up to +16 can be done by any tank withoutany troubles, and there will never be a single spec that is unable to complete KSM, just get a bit of gear if u struggle and you are good to go,

To begin with, take a look at the TOP tanks on Raiders IO. Currently, the first BDK is ranked 150+ in the list. Based on my personal experience, I can say that the current season lacks instant movements like the warrior’s jumps. Additionally, the process of gathering multiple packs of mobs has become more challenging, as the BDK lacks the ability to quickly gain aggro when the mobs are far apart. As a result, a significant number of mobs often target the damage dealers. BDK in M10+ there are problems in survivability without overgear, you literally can’t survive if you need to collect a few packs of mobs before the 2nd boss in TSG without your CDs. In general, if you don’t want to listen to insults from the DD and want to preserve your mental health, it’s better to refrain from playing on BDK for now.

I got KSM no problem as blood, though I can definitely say the spec is way weaker now than last season. The loss of abom limb really stings, and now that I am getting into the +10 range I feel like if you are a bit undergeared things can get dicey really fast.

If you want to play BDK to KSM, I think you should just go for it. This season I decided to play BDK despite not playing tank at all normally. I got KSM early on in week 2

The problem BDK has in M+ is, that it’s not as good at running high keys as other tanks. Keys eventually scale to a level where other tanks with their block and other mitigation can survive the big hits mobs do, but BDK who is designed to take big dmg and heal it back up instead of mitigating it, will just get 1tapped instead. But this is NOT really a problem in +10s
