Why abandon gaming? It’s just a few very bad apples. Just go Singleplayer, there are multiple gems released every year with no forced microtransactions and shops.
Just don’t buy this stuff and companies will learn to push out quality again or cease to exist.
You don’t have to stop playing, just don’t spend money on stuff that ain’t worth it

Yes!!! I feel that way too.
It’s a very different gaming experience. I can do a little bit of single player, but overall games feel more immersive if other players are around. They are changing a whole genre into something very different that kills the enjoyment for me so I lose interest. It seems to be more economic for the companies, so I’m probably just a difficult audience. They pulled me in, now they push me out. I am not gonna stop gaming over night, but in the case of Blizzard, they killed Overwatch for me, and WoW retail is slowly turning into a similar economic system that in the end might make the game feel just as unrewarding to play.
