''This is a known bug. The pet is out, but you cannot control it or dismiss it, and weakauras act as if the pet is not summoned.
Easiest fix is to change specs, then change back. Resummon pet.
If you need to do this in combat, the only solution is using the Portable Stable.
In M+ you can use one of the Crashin Thrashin Toys to force dismiss your pet. Use the macro below with any of the toys.‘’
There is a bug with Beast Mastery hunter pets, and for now it can only be fixed with the toy but not everyone has the toy. Please fix this as soon as possible. At the start of M+ and in raids, every time you die and get ressed, this bug occurs and it only goes away if you relog.
While they should most definitely get this fixed asap, one or more of the toys that work are available on the AH. Ofcourse we shouldn’t have to spend gold on trying to work around a very, very annoying bug but at least we can work around it for now.

Also here’s a macro you can use to get rid of the bug if you have a toy, simply replace the name of the toy with the one you own and test if it’s one of the ones that work(most Crashin’ toys should work).

ppl in my guild raid, think im just messing around when i tell em my pets bug and i cant do anything, they think im f*ing around… NOT FUN ! blizzard needs to just fix this first prio tbh instead of tuning other classes, fix BM first so they are playable again …

Blizzard needs to fix as soon as possible, but luckily we can work around until they fix it, so I guess thats at least something.
You have released a general hotfix, yet our pet bug has still been overlooked. Please address this issue as soon as possible. During yesterday’s raid, we had to relog approximately 20 times. On the final boss, the bug occurs every time the platform changes, rendering the fight unplayable.
This happened to me in a streets 8 yesterday. Since i couldn’t figure out what was happening we depleted the key because my #1 dmg ability was my cloak…

Yup got this too. It’s really random when it happens, might have it at the start but it might just disappear at adds being pulled or boss, mid boss fight too.
You brought class tuning, but you still haven’t fixed the pet bug. Since the start of S3 we still can’t do M+ or progress, you are forcing us to re-roll.
It’s awful and persists 90% of the time. Sometimes if I mount (or die, but this is not a good solution ) in the dungeon the bug disappears for a little bit…
In the open world pets are obscured almost always!
Kind of sick that they haven’t yet fixed such a wide spread and serious bug…
