So last night i had 2 hours on wow to get about 50 mythic score to get my KSM. I had done 5/6s last week and all 2s week before. So i done a 5 AA no issue but i didnt check the affix. I couldnt be bothered with it so thought a few 4s wouls take me over the line. I had some of the worst groups ive ever played with. Didnt time a BH 4, had 2 french hunters doing low damage, pulling random packs which the tank kept getting over loaded. Then tried a Nelth 4… tank this time was over pulling and wiping and then couldnt do the chains boss… group disbanded Then tried a Halls 4 which we timed by like 10 seconds as the other dps kept dying to the ice woman boss finished the night with 1998 score lol honestly couldnt believe my luck. Anyone else had sessions like this?
I do realise the lower the key the chances of lower quality players increases but i had no issues the second week pushing up to 6s. #puglife
I Had a very nice sessions last night - did 7x+8 , Had only like 3 failed groups where keys broken and people left , then i did nice relaxing 2 x+2 Ruby
Oh and Blizzard blessed me with +8 AV after reset so that felt really nice as first key of week
And i also dont need Drake crests on Hunter anymore so i can just ignore world events next week on it- that’s very nice too
In retrospect i wish i kept pushing haha. I got a +7 nelt after reset but i just really cba with the affix this week. I cant get on tonight either so my 2k is going to have to wait till tomorrow wanna get my 2k on this character and my tank then i can smash the MOP remix
I feel like mythic usually is 50/50 when you pug.
Either everyone knows what they are doing and its a smooth run or someone is just totally lost and everyone ends up leaving.
The timers are generous this season so you dont really have to sprint through it, some mistakes are fine in the lower keys.
Last night I only played the raid but it was a super smooth run. Only wipeing once on council, other than that just one shots and done in like an hour
I haven’t done this yet on tyrannical, but even on fortified people struggled here and very quickly this became the dungeon nobody wanted to go to. It’s one of those fights where all effects are a similar color and that require people to actually move. Not looking forward to healing that this week, but I will. Only timed a +4 in the first tyrannical week.
keys feel certainly doable atm . harsh and brutal but doable.
what really helps is that majority of people runing +8 are atm 515+ so you can bruteforce quite a lot if you dont mess major mechanics.
once everyone will be close to 525 pugging +10 will be certainly viable
im hyped for next week - surpirsingly i hit 2300 this week so i guess its time to start +9s on fortified - maybe will manage to sneak into +10 too … one can hope bulion from dungeon even was huge huge . cant wait for next week since i dropped nice crit haste ring from uldaman im going for 2nd trinket not for diurna ring
I look forward to that week, too. I generally prefer fortified to tyrannical weeks, and raging/afflicted is more attractive to me than spiteful/incorporeal. Spiteful in particular is frustrating in PUGs - keeps everyone in combat the whole time, people can’t just slow them and move on without trying to kill them or pad the meter, and they hit like a truck. It makes runs more mana intensive and I have less mana. Not much fun.
I really need to get the hang of elemental shaman and collect some gear for it. I don’t enjoy the current mandatory build (fire) very much, but with more mastery it may actually be more playable. My resto gear has little mastery.
You get issues at all levels IMO when pugging. Had a NO where the other two dps didn’t swap to the add and the group fell apart. Another group where spreading was an issue on tree boss in AV. Another key where one of the dps just died constantly combined with a wasted CR and we didn’t meet the timer, group fell apart so we didn’t even gt to do one for vault.
You just have to carry on and keep going. We had three failed keys in a row then the last two went swimmingly.
Last nigh we were doing this on +6 and phase 2 on the last boss you get teleported. Tank and myself the healer get teleported together running back we realize we have two waves coming side by side. No chance we are going survive this one. Tried to hide behind a pillar but apparently that has been fixed. Killed us both. That RNG should never happen in a M+ run ever.
I joined a +8 academy on my druid to get the last dungeon for bullion and nobody, including me(I didn’t check my talents before we started), specced into any CC for incorporeal, lmao.
