Beledar’s Spawn tanks FPS when using Sky Riding

The new wraith mount that drops from the Beledar rare seems to have massive fps issues when Sky Riding with it. Everything is fine until you use your right mouse button to re-position the camera when flying, then fps drops to almost 1 fps. Anyone else on EU having trouble with this issue? I know there has been a bug logged on the US side, but can’t seem to log bugs EU side.

Hey Damendred,

I’m not seeing any known bug with this mount, however it looks like a few players have reported this problem, and we’ll now need to wait for the developers to investigate this on their end.

If you encounter another issue in game, please do report it to our developers, and they’ll be able to check this out for you.

Bug fixes are usually published in our Hotfix blogs and patch updates, which can be found in the News section of the main site.

Thank you!

Thanks Yryadorne.

It seems like a few players have this issue. With it being a great mount, would be fantastic if the devs could take a look. Seems like it may be the only mount in the game with this problem

Yeah I spent hours yesterday trying to figure out what is going on.

I noticed that everything is fine when flying around with WASD but when I use right click my gpu usage drops to 10-20% and I get insane stutters. Releasing right click makes the gpu usage go back to normal.

I just looted the Spawn and can confirm the exact same thing. Stutters only occurred when navigating with right mouse button. The other mounts of this family (Shadowlands KSM ones) work perfectly fine. It’s also the only mount so far I know that has this issue.

This matches my experience. I also tested with the Farseer shaman class mounts (same rig/base model) and it works with no issues.

Just got the mount today and I thought that something was off when I did dragonriding races, since yesterday they were so smooth, today the fps with beledar on was horrible. Glad to see at least it’s not PC issue. Once I stopped using Beledar it’s back to normal.

Can confirm and replicate. Mostly happens when navigating with the mouse while Skyriding. I first thought my PC was flipping out. Gods i was worried.

Can confirm the mount tanks FPS by a lot went to try on my regular mount like a Gryphon 80/100fps with Siesbarg mount it tanks to 80/50 fps.

Also the mount doesnt have any of the sky riding animations this needs to be fixed.

SIESBARG has some malfunctioning textures. When I zoom in and out his body starts to flicker as different elements including his eyes start to appear and disappear at random. I tried him out in a flat area with very little other things on the screen eating resources and my FPS drops from stable 140s down to 100ish. There is something definitely wrong with him. Apart from tanking FPS, these disappearing textures were/are also a problem for DF Netherdrake and Highland Drakes.

Wow. I just started experiencing FPS drops down to 50fps (insane on my system).
After a lot of troubleshooting I consider “what’s new” and figure it could be the mount as I just started using it.

And the drops stop…
Went to post about it and found this thread.

I was going insane trying to figure out why my game was dropping about 100-130 fps while flying. It seems it is indeed the mount that’s causing it. It only happens if you try to move the camera with the right mouse button while skyriding.

Same here, me and my brother got the mount both dropping over 100 frames when turning while skyriding only on the Beledar mount

Went from 600 fps down to 20 in Deepholme while exploring, Beledar’s Spawn tanked an 4090 / 7800x3d combo.

As of 5th September '24, the mount seems to be fixed, at least for me. It no longer stutters and frame drops when I right-click and drag to change flight direction while sky riding!
