SUMMARY
The Conclave of Quel’Thalas is a political gathering of blood elven guilds, select individuals and initiatives to discuss the current Blizzard certified lore, politics and personal projects that people and guilds have done or will be doing in the near future. For many, the Conclave is as much about being seen than it is a platform to be heard, be it individually or as an order. However, this event can be used to advertise upcoming campaigns, events, plot hooks, relevant rumours, calls for aid, and even politically strike blows at other attending guilds or characters that you might have disagreements with. All in character, of course.
- The date for the Conclave is set to the 8th of May.
- The closing date for applications is the 4th of May, at 22:00 server time.
- The location of the event will be the Halls of Blood (Blood Knight HQ).
- The time to arrive begins at 19:30 server time for invitation checks.
- The start time for the Conclave is set to 20:00 server time.
The Conclave Code of Conduct can be found at:

These are are all subject to change.
WHAT IS THE CONCLAVE?
The Conclave is a political gathering that brings together representatives from important or notable walks of life. Through this council of influential members of Thalassian society, a variety of matters and issues can be discussed and resolved in a controlled, civilised manner. It also acts as a forum of interaction between these figures with the aim of sharing information, developing relations, and offering co-operation for the betterment of the High Kingdom.
The 21th Conclave will be conducted by Magistrix Starscribe, with the blessing of the Regency and the Sunfury Spire. Only those that choose to participate in the Conclave are bound by the agreements reached by its assembly.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE CONCLAVE?
As it is a political themed event you can mainly expect a discussion that will last anything between 2 to 4 hours. It heavily depends on the topics as well as the attendees.
The Herald has the task of dictating the topic and flow of discussion and will try and give each representative a chance to share their viewpoint on the subject. The Herald will maintain order and civility between participants and acts with state-sanctioned authority during the Conclave to do so.
Attendants must arrive with no weapons, not even ceremonial ones, otherwise they will be confiscated and returned after the Conclave. In addition, a magical suppression field will be maintained in the area for the duration of the meeting. This field dampens magic so that spells cannot be cast, magical items will stop functioning as enchanted, and any illusions to conceal identity or presence of a person will fail.
THE AGENDA
The agenda for the 21th Conclave is currently the following:
- The rift through the “Veil” to the “Shadowlands”, as seen above Icecrown, and the activities of the Ebon Blade.
- The Scourge threat that has risen since the sky tore.
- The whereabouts of the missing Alliance and Horde leaders; Thrall, Baine Bloodhoof, Tyrande Whisperwind, Anduin Wrynn and Jaina Proudmoore.
- The whereabouts, and possibly plans, of Sylvanas Windrunner, and the status of her remaining loyalists.
If you as an attendee wish to speak on a topic of your own choosing, be it a campaign, an upcoming event, an idea, or something else entirely, the Herald will open the floor after the official agenda is completed for these contributions. The time allocated to this will depend on the lateness of the hour.
HOW DO I JOIN THE CONCLAVE?
Signups are initially done out of character followed by a short interview done in character, called a meet-and-greet, which serves as the base to accept or decline your entrance to the Conclave of Quel’Thalas.
Ithaire reserves the right to decline any application for IC or OOC reasons. For new guilds or characters wishing to claim a seat on the Conclave you must contact Itharie out of character using the in-game mail system, an in-game whisper or in a comment on this forum. Keep in mind that all such contact is made out of character.
Please include the name of the representing Councillor and the name of the organisation (guild) that will be represented by that Councillor when signing up. If the name of the Councillor/organisation does not match the name of the character, then please provide the character/guild name in brackets.
After an in character meeting is set up, to introduce our characters, your guild will be placed into the ‘Pending’ list. Approach this meeting as an interview, where the past and purpose of your guild and/or character is lightly prodded. This meeting is the foundation on which the decision to permit or deny entrance to the Conclave of Quel’Thalas is made.
If you wish to join as an Independent Attendant (non-guilded) then a fair in character reason will be asked for. There is a degree of importance and ceremony to this event which has become ingrained within the community, so not just anyone and everyone can attend. Suitable in-character reasons would be a representative of a political sect within the Spire, representative of a trade group, representing the interest of a noble House, etc.
Please be aware that as an Independent Attendant you should not claim to represent an already established order within World of Warcraft’s lore. So please do not claim to speak for the entire Blood Knight Order, the Farstriders or the Reliquary as a whole. Instead, claim to represent a unit or branch within those organisations, as not to step on the toes of other Conclave attendants.
- The central representative of a group is referred to as a Councillor. They can bring two members as company from their organisation, referred to as Advisors.
- Independent Attendants are referred to as Advisors. They are not permitted to bring company.
REGARDING PREVIOUS ATTENDEES OF THE 20TH CONCLAVE:
If you and your organisation attended the 20th Conclave of Quel’Thalas then you will not require a meet and-greet unless you wish to. Your position in the Conclave is secured unless considerable change to your organisation has occurred or the organisation itself has a new leader. If such is the case a judgement will be made on a case-by-case basis. This includes Independent Attendants from the 20th Conclave. If the above applies to you then please leave a response in this thread to confirm your attendance for the 21th Conclave.
