Hello, i’ve read all the posts i’ve found on the internet on this topic but i’d like more opinions. Which class do you think Is the best for a 1v1 (in your answer you can also make a distinction beetween duels and wpvp if you want)? I still have my 58 boost and i also have a 70 boost so I’m thinking about boosting two good classes for duels and world pvp. I already have a feral druid almost at max level, because it’s One of my favourite class fantasy. While leveling i was never afraid of attacking any class but paladins (and dk, but they also have Op Gear). No matter what i did, paladins were unkillable for me, so i was thinking about maybe using One of my boosts for this class, because i also love their fantasy and gameplay and the variety of roles they can cover. I also read that spriest should be One of the best duelers. Dunno about rogues, It seems to me they struggle against plate wearers, but I’m kinda noob so I might be wrong. What are your thoughts?
Ret is very strong but gets countered by some classes like mage or hunter, if played well (there aren’t a lot of good mages or hunters so it doesnt rly matter lol)
If played well, Unholy DK will win against pretty much everything. You can kite melees like WAR to death, and between things like anti magic shell, ghoul stun, grip, chains, lichborne and gargoyle, ranged/casters dont really stand a chance against it.

Bit late but if we are talking wotlk proper here then a frost mage can win anything in 1v1 while also when it comes to wpvp can more easily escape odds stacked against him via slows/roots and slow fall
Shadow Priest has a ton of defensive tools, CC and self-healing. And three very hard ticking DoTs to slowly grind enemies down.
It has to be frost mage or UH dk
Retribution paladin in hybrid spec (1/2 holy 1/2 ret) at endgame with 1h healer mace/shield is unbeatable.
All the people saying ret pal kekw. A good warlock affly/destro or frost mage destroys any ret. The strongest is DK IMO, has the most defensive/ofensive balance against every class.
Thanks for the answer guys! A few more questions. I see some of you mentioning frost mage. I can see the potential of frost mage against melee classes, but doesn’t a frost mage lose against casters with more self heals like locks and spriest?
Also next question: Who do you think would win beetween an aff lock and a spriest? And what about destro vs spriest?
P.s. i know that 1v1 is a lot like rock paper scissor but I’m trying to figure out the classes with the least counters
unholy has the least counters, there is no argument about it.
frost mage can beat everything, including warlocks but that requires very high skill level to pull off.
