So pretty much the title, what is the absolute best covenant for a Resto Shamy? I’ve seen a lot of different opinions on that one, sites such as Wowhead and IcyVeins don’t help as well, because the information there is pretty much the same.
I’m aware that Necrolord used to be the best when the expansion got released and during Season 1, but I’m not sure if that’s the case anymore. I know that we get free (almost) 40 renown and we can now switch freely between covenants (you were losing your anima during PTR though, not sure if that got scrapped), but I don’t really like switching all the time and I’d have to grind up to 80 to 2 or 3 of the covenants which is not my thing really.
So, I’ve seen people say that Kyrian is the best choice for M+ and Venthyr/Necro for raiding - let’s be honest though, most of the people prefer to run M+ far often than raiding. The thing is - if I go Kyrian, am I still going to be viable during my weekly HC SoD run? Or should I choose something else. I’m not really sure and the choice seems to be entirely up to personal preferences, but I still thought that it’s probably best to ask some seasoned Shamy players who have experience in the case.
