Best class for my alt

Hey.
I’m having a hard times, cause i finished the nightfallen reputation and I really want to start nightborne character, but i cannot made my mind about new class yet. I always played only retri pala. And I can’t choose new dps class for my character. I was thinking about arcane mage but I’m actually not into casting, but for nightborne arcane mage would be perfect. And then i tried Hunter and it seemd to be a lot of fun. And I’ve had bad times learning properly my class before so i don’t know if arcane mage is the right for me. It looks to be a good dps after all but their rotations looked hard af for the first time. Hunters are good dps and without casting, but i really want to give a try something little bit different. And mage is that, but still I’m afraid it’s going to take a lot of time for me to learn play them.
My questions are these…
Is arcane mage hard to handle?
Is arcane mage good dps?
Will be hunter easier for me?
Or is there better class that i should try for my new character?

As with all “what should I play?” questions, the answer depends more on what you will enjoy playing than on the plusses and minuses of the class in general.

If you still have a character boost, use the Trial to get some experience with the classes you’re thinking of. The bext best thing is watching YouTube guides for each spec.

Arcane Mage rotation is certainly not hard

Basically, get your two buffs up, and keep hitting Arcane Blast till you’re out of mana.

When Evocation is far enough away, instead of Arcane Blast, use Arcane Barrage when you have 4 charges.

Arcane Mage rotation was never hard, but the mana management used to take good judgement; not so much any more.

Blizzard nerf and buff classes all the time, so saying that anything has good DPS is always only temporary. Arcane is not topping charts at the moment, but it is playable in regular content. Historically, Arcane tends to do better towards the end of an expansion.

The main thing you need to keep in mind about Arcane is that you are rooted to the spot a lot, making long Arcane Blast casts. Very turret. You like that, or you don’t. Fire, and especially Frost, are more mobile and of course are also available to a mage. Maybe you could open up your thinking to other Mage specs?

A lot also depends on content. I personally find Arcane very tedious to quest in, but it’s fine in an instance where a tank keeps mobs off me and I can cast in peace.

Hunter is certainly a safer and easier choice than mage, though as you say Mage fits the theme of Nightborne so well. Hunter has pets that make questing easier, and constant mobility.

No one really likes Arcane mage.

Seems simple to me.

No - Arcane mage theme is Mana management. They do insane DPS if they have unlimited Mana but that’s not the case.

It is good DPS class and simple to play.

BM Hunter is also easy and more fun to play.

For nightborne I suggest give it go to Arcane mage. While lvling just stay at 4 arcane charges and you 2 shot every non elite mobs. In dungeon arcane explosion and barrages are way op but need to drink often between pullls - most of time you out DPS any class as arcane mage while lvling.
