Best covenant for havoc?

What will it be? Venthyr? or something else?

Venthyr or Kyrian.

You should be fine with everything but Necrolords, although the best right now would be Venthyr for DPS, The Hunt for PvP and Kyrian for Tank.

Kyrian for tank? Why?

Good AoE damage and on demand healing. Souls are generally good for Vengeance because you can use them either for Soul Cleave to heal or Spirit Bomb for damage.

Is necrolord really that bad? You can use the demon you summon to gain a shield

So is night fea viable in pve too?

it all depends on buffs / nerfs after launch .

at from look of things you basickly choose whether you prefer strong AoE - Kyrian or strong single target - Venthyr.

im assuming that people who will focus on mythic + will choose kyrians while those who raid will choose venthyr but for me kyrian seems much more usefull in early endgame - especially on week 1 when raids are closed and you will be doing ton of dungeons - i wouldnt underestimate healing ability too when playing with undergeared healers.

shame we cant choose abilities separately from theme as venthyr suits DH so much better :frowning:

Ok, I’ve decided to do a deep dive on covenants because I was starting to feel dissapointed that Night Fae was going to maybe be the best pvp spec.

I love the look of Venthyr, their mogs and the culture of the covenant. I’m in love, so I’m determined to stick with them.

However, Venthyr looks good. Maybe there’s been a video making out Night Fae is going to be amazing for pvp, but I don’t think Venthyr will be bad. In fact I actually think it might be better.

Here’s why I think this and why you, my fellow Illidari, should choose Venthyr with me and become a Vampire Demon Hunter ready to destroy all!

Soulbinds you should be aware of.

Agent of Chaos: Door of shadows disorients enemies at the target location for 6 secs when you appear.

Familiar Predicaments: The duration of incoming interrupt, snare and roots effects are reduced by 25%

Have a look at the tree I made here

As well as having more damage than Night Fae with Sinful Brand and Thrill Seeker, and if you want even more the last couple of options give you this too with Exacting Preperations and Dauntless Duelist. However, what’s more interesting to me is the 8 second reduction to sinful brand cd and Familiar Predicaments.

Night Fae might give you an easy mode rush and a very powerful teleport regardless of los (definitely jealous of this) but Agent of Chaos is a 6 second cc that in threes, could potentially hit the entire team. This sounds fantastic, definitely more points to Venthyr here for me. Our blink is harder to use but more skill based, with the added cc I know I’ll enjoy using this.

I tend to find other melee classes like Paladin (please nerf), Warr or Rog to be my weak spot. Druids too, screw Druids… (my gear is low btw I’m new player, check profile for perspective). Having 25% reduction to cc and being able to reduce attack speed and casting speed by 30% with Sinful Brand, I think this is gonna help us with an area we tend to be weak in, as opposed to doubling down on what we’re already good at with Night Fae, hunting down ranged

So my friend, fu** Night Fae, if you choose this covenant you’re a disgrace to the Illidari and I may /spit on you if I see you walk into the class order hall in those mogs. Jk, I’ll only /spit on you if you wear a store transmog or mount.

Become Venthyr if you’re edgy and cool and want to fu** Rogues and Warriors where it hurts. <3 Thanks for making this covenant awesome blizz

There will be last tuning of all covenants before mythic raid opens so it does not matter what you choose at launch, the differences will be marginal at the end, like 0,1% which does not matter it is meanigless difference.

I just had a look at soulbinds again and realised that Familiar Predicaments doesn’t affect stuns :frowning: I’m not sure why I read that it included stuns but it’s only 25% reduction to roots snares and incaps… So I guess choose Night Fae then. If this included stuns it would actually be good.

God damnit!

kyrian for m+,venthyr for raids and nightfae for pvp.Avoid necroat all costs.
