Best healer class for casual?

Hi there,

I want to reroll for healer/dps from tank/dps and I wanted to ask which class would be the best for this. What i’m aiming at is lfr/pug mythics up to 10/15+, eventually being part of a guild if my time allows, and of course: legacy content for achievements and mogs.

I was looking at monks and shamans, however I wouldn’t want something with 100 buttons to press, or anything that would have a higher skill ceiling. All opinions are appreciated! You can let me know if my ideal class is a waste and I should just stay as I am now 🥹

Cheers!

Druid, I guess any “spec for casual” is druid, tank, healer, melee dps and ranged dps

My biggest concern about Druids is the hot based heal… I mained it decades ago during BC and WotLK and I loved it during that time, however there were some changes since then as I’ve seen. I have a look at their play style though with the trial option

Despite the potential number of abilities, I found resto shaman pretty forgiving when I first started playing it back in Legion. It was recommended to me as a good healer for beginners due to its spell selection and being more forgiving when people end up at low health (mastery increasing the amount healed at low health).

I’ve enjoyed levelling some monks recently as I’ve just been able to cast Renewing Mist and Essence Font, and then continue to kick mobs in the face without worrying about health. But that was all open world stuff so I’m not sure how things play out in dungeons.

The other healers, outside of open world Glimmerdin, have never really clicked with me so I have little experience with them.

Holy Priest is a pretty good HPs healer, just less on dmg.

Shaman would be the way to go then, I reckon. Asides from the totems and like one HoT spell, it’s all direct healing.

You dont want to be a tank anymore? :sob:

Yeah, I’m leaning a lot towards shamans a bit more now, even though they are considered to be trash tier for mythic content due to their lack of damaging abilities. But I know they can survive out there.

I’d love to, but with pugs they need heals  I had to dps during all my 0 pugs :disappointed: even guilds look for more dps and heal than tanks which is a surprise

Dunno, I could dps quite well with it and is simple at least.

Anyways… +1 for being casual friendly. And the spells are really cool too! :sparkles:

We are only desired in Pug runs
It only takes two tanks to raid, and most guild have raid tanks.

I swiched to healer and DPS to get into raiding
