I decided to play malee troll hunter for the best bow animation in the whole game. I’m enjoying it but I don’t know what to tame. As nigh elf you usually tame an owl from level 10 for both leveling and overworld but as horde there is no option like owl. I see almost all the hunters going for boar but I’m not sure. Is there any other option which pet can hold aggro and di crazy stuff? At least till I’m at a range of an owl in some other zone.
I don’t want cat yet, I tamed broken tooth with my nigh elf, it’s a good pet but can’t hold aggro like owl.

Best pets in my experiance are CATs, BOARs and some say BATs.
To hold agro you need to teach your pet Growl, you can buy a new tier of this pet skill every 10 lvl’s (ie: lvl 10 pet can learn this skill tier 2).
This skill does agro to the target the pet is attaking, not AOE.

Boars at low level up to level 32 when cat’s learn dash then they will be ur main pets for longtime beause they have 2 dps ability claw and bite.
I use Boar to level 32 and its has been pretty good pet. Tanky can tank sametime more mobs + some Elits.
Charge is pretty decent starter ability at low level.
Using a bear has been really smooth up to current lv 32, has lots of armor so can tank 2-4
normal mobs long enough for you to kill them. Also able to tank 2 elites for long enough to be able to kill em both.
Holds threat quite well 1v1, also has 2 dmg abilities Claw & Bite.
I considered going Cat for more dmg but finding that the bear deals decent enough while also being tanky made me wanna stay bear.
Might swap it out for a gorilla at higher lvl.
