hello
I want to make golds and I have no idea how to do that in shadowlands
in past, we used to farm old raids but this doesn’t work anymore
so I want to level profession to make golds, but i don’t want to make legendaries since I only have 20k to start level with it
any advice for gold making?
thanks
I think any gathering professions would do as a start. Untill you make 1 or 2 millions then you have to move to the crafting business.
Depends how much you want to earn? And where you going to spend it?
None of them. Crafting professions aren’t all that profitable, and gathering ones you’ll have to compete with bots.
If you want to make gold, reliably, without having to rely much on luck or on the AH, go level an army of night fae alts and farm the mission table. At ~320g / mission, 3-4 missions a day, that’s a solid 1-1.2k gold per alt per day, which may not seem much, but when you have 10 of them, 10-12k gold a day for about 10 minutes of “work” (which you can do from your phone) isn’t that bad. With only 10 farmers, you’re looking at 280k+ gold a month with minimal effort.

Can’t go wrong with herbalism and mining to make some gold.

Im thinking about alchemy and herbalism
Collect herbs and craft them
Screw profesions, get some gold and play AH

Herb and mining, can get essentia from them that are going for loads. Did an hour last night and got 5 (very lucky). Easy 200k with rest of the stuff.
Do the covenant emissary quests they give a lot of gold.
Might not be quite what you were hoping, but my personal key to having money in WoW is:
- Druid alt with herbalism, mining and fishing.
- Main character should be an alchemist with cooking.
– You now don’t pay for consumables and your flasks last longer.
– Sell a shadestone on the AH every day for easy money.
– Take any second profession. Maybe blacksmith if you want to try to turn those ores into legendaries, but be prepared for a long grind to craft T7. I went engineering for the wormhole generator and invis belt - which indeed saves money on invis pots for dungeon skips.
- Lots of night fae alts with mission tables.
– Genuinely, that 2-3k per alt per day really adds up over time, and it’s very low effort with no risk of being undercut on the AH.
(If your main character happens to be a druid, herbalism, alchemy, fishing and cooking will set you up right. But do work that mission table where you can! People are sleeping on it because they see 250-300g per mission and don’t see that there are 4-8 missions per day.)

it is the leveling part that makes me sleep, along with collecting all the torgast ones
Boosting and abusing the mission table with alts…
You don’t need loads of followers. The ones from renown are enough. Night fae always sends 4x troops and 1 follower on all missions so they do a lot in parallel.
I cant wait to return to night fae once we can fly.
Why specifically night fae though?
Unless you’re on a small realm where there are usually more sellers than buyers.

If you want to make gold without competion and undercuts i recomend skinning i made few milions if you have druid or you can level one this will bring you alot of gold you can make thrash legendary and gear this char in tank to 240-250ish rly fast and you can pull large amount of mobs kill all with thrash and skin than atm on my realm 1h of farming like this is around 25k gold becosue everyone need legendary and heavy armor-kits
I made 2M gold with jewelcrafting, leveled it just before 9.2. hit and then made 2M (profit, not revenue) in two days with 262 boe rings. they’re slowly starting to undercut heavily though.
Strongest mission table
Walks through the campaign, levels easily, makes gold by 15 or so.
Currently with herb & mining, you can get ~3.5 Progenitor Essentia per hour if you have the Jiro buff. On my server that’d be over 100k an hour - although it’ll likely crash pretty soon IMO.
Crafting professions potentially earn more but generally require a large investment to enter profitable markets (legendaries).
