Best races for each class?

What would the best races that correspond to the classes be, mainly dps and meta wise?

It doesnt matter in the slightest.
Overall the DPs difference between classess in BFA is barely 2Kdps.
When you do 90K dps 92 or 90 does notmatter at all.

If you really want to focus on a good race, pick a utility that suits you. But in the end, unless you’re going for world first, Racials are completely trivial

Whatever you think looks cool.
I don’t play to mix-max - I play to look cool. I play a Nightborne Priest, that is telling in itself how serious I take Pve/PvP.

Say a faction at least, there re too many classes and races.

I don’t really go too seriously myself but I would suggest looking at the racial abilities.

I seem to be collecting Draenei myself but I’ve also in the past gone with race/class combos that I felt fitter better with the lore. Like Blood elf mage.

Whenever I’m not playing a Night Elf in PvP, I feel naked without Shadowmeld. The ability to completely stop an incoming Chaos bolt, Polymorph or any powerful spell, is truly unrivaled.
Plus, if you’re a healer, you can instantly leave combat and start drinking in arena.

Blood elf.

Or the gnome one if you re a rogue to remove roots.

Alliance really has good races for pvp. (Dont forget human and dwarf too)

Depends on PVE/PVP Scene imho.
Nelf rogue for pvp hands down, warrior you could argue orc, human gnome for pvp? maybe belf too for purge
same again for dk, wouldn’t really push past those races unless you’re a rogue, druid or paladin since then you’re more race limited but even then the core vanilla races tend to trump most other races.

Minus DI dwarf being able to cleanse phat dots but risk throwing game with putting trinket on 30 sec cd.

as for pve just reference to blood mallet

If you’re a rogue, you’ll most definitely want shadowmeld, more than anyone else.

the New superior blood elf.

Void Elf.

To you that is insignificant.
To other people it is.

A full mythic raid doing 2k DPS less is 40k DPS less a second.
That is 2400000 a minute, 16,800,000 damage lost over the course of a 5minute fight.
Plenty of top guilds have wiped to less than that.
In PVP it is the difference between a clutch win or a clutch save.

When you see a thread from someone specifically asking about meta wise DPS just answer or leave the thread, why the compulsion to try and tell them to play the way you want also?
Let people enjoy being the best they can possibly be.

I recommend you check out Blood Mallet OP. It has a best race ranking.
I recommend going for utility more than numbers if you’re looking to PVP.

For a lot of casters it is Troll.

Well it’s a easy answer.

The further spread “race don’t matter” is the less likely it becomes a fixed requirement in a pug world due to encouraging more and more players to ignore it. …

If people start actually abiding by the racial DPS it brings to classes your far more likely to see some sorta requirements in time

But you are right, people enjoy to downplay races DPS gains and say "only top 5% are affected " while if anything they’re the least affected

Tanks - Tauren or Dwarfs/DI Dwarf/Mecha
Casters - Troll or Anything
Melee - Orc or Anything

For pve and if you’re only talking dps then check out bloodmallet, they will have all the info.
They do sim with a preset and depending on your character different races might be better, so i recommend you sim it, that will also accurately show you how big of an upgrade it is to swap which is usually not that much.

Rule 1: Roll Floof.
Rule 2: See Rule 1.

I’d like to see all working racials that benefit stats/combat removed and replaced with potential flavour racials. Not because they bother me, but because I’m sick of people moaning about it!
