Hello!
I’m planning to level a Horde rogue because I don’t have one on the Horde side but I don’t know which raceI want to play as.
I’ve done some class trial characters and I liked Goblins and their rocket jump in arenas but is it much better to take another class because of their racial or can you just play the race you like the most without a big difference?

I have heard people use orc for the attack power racial. The trolls have a haste buff racial. Tauren has a stun thats very handy when in trouble.
Personally When I was choosing I went for the troll for the haste buff.
You can play any race you like. There is absolutely no point in choosing a race based upon the usefulness of the racial abilities unless you’re aiming for world first mythic raiding, top world m+ or getting r1.
I’d probably play Zandalari Troll if I was picking racials, but I hate their looks, therefore I haven’t race changed…

Green orc for stun reduction is a must. You will beat any enemy rogue in 1vs1 because of it. Also pretty good vs paladins (hoj) and all other stuns. If you aim at pvp go orc.
Blood elf is handy for the dispell. You can dispell blessing of protection with it and secure a kill but that happens too rarely to be better choice than orc.
Rocket jump is great (my rogue is goblin) but to be honest if you plan to go in rated arenas above 1.6 orc is the race for you.
Update: I see you’re possibly a new player based on your achievement points, to say it more clearly: racial abilities are meant to be flavor, they do not generally decide if somebody will invite you to whatever activity in the game or not. Pick what you think is cool/fun etc.

Pandaren. They say you can jump off the tip of sargeras’s sword and survive because of the passive fall reduction you get off class and race.
Double food buff for pve.
Quaking palm for pvp.
Shado-pan rogues looks awesome. Pandarens look awesome when transmoged right.
Edit: If only they could be demon hunters. Sad times.

Me green zug zug me smash or belf are good default rogue picks for horde.
Trolls are a good pick as well because of their racial skill berserking.
