Guardian Druid.
Tanks can pull an infinite amount of enemies with no struggle, and Druid has a great tool to mass pull thanks to Moonfire. Add on top of that mobility, out of combat self healing and instant mounting, and there really is nothing left for any competition to triumph.

blance druid is best it has simple instent cast spells and it does not even need to face the enemy …
but when I was with him, half of the time i needed to heal my self… he has 0 defense… or did i play with him wrong?

Overall, what are you looking to do? Old raids? For very old expansions it doesn’t matter which class it is, all can clear easily. For Legion it also doesn’t matter much which class it is, half of the encounters are easy albeit long, others are very long to impossible, all regardless of the class. Ion explained that this is all fine somehow (it isn’t). For BFA, uhm, well, pick a tank, a real tank. Then mostly forget about it because you will only be able to solo some minor things.
If you are looking to do SL rares or whatever, either of the above is fine - tanks or classes with pets. Someone suggested ret paladin, well, if you want to suggest something like that, then any spec will do, eg, elemental shamans are on the same power level in soloing, give or take. Balance druids are mostly taken because of ranged instants, for farming.

Druid and Hunter (Beast Master). There is very little they can’t do by them selves.
For playing fun Monk, The Brew Master is pretty tough and can solo al lot of stuff and Wind Walker keeps you busy pressing buttons.
For pure f##k s#t up fun I would add Demon Hunter. It just needs a little something stealth, but for blasting stuff nothing feels as satisfying as Eye Beam.

Hunter can handle basically anything except Torghast, but that’s a problem with powers rather than hunters. If you misjudged it? Feign death and run for it.
Druid is flexible and mobile, and can get you in and out of places sneakily. Later on, herbalism + flying is ridiculously good for your wallet. Decent speed and escape potential, but can be dazed and pinned down if there’s enough mobs piling on you.
Monk may not have the durability (especially when in dps/healer spec), but the raw speed solves most problems. Even in the Maw, Flying Serpent Kick followed by double Torpedo solves most problems even if you were dazed. If you die as a monk in the open world it was probably your own dumb fault.
Druids can get you into dangerous places with least chance of trouble; monks can get you out of places more reliably if the poop has already hit the fan.

Hunter (mm or bm) has always worked well for me. Fury Warrior is quite handy as well, but Hunter edges it in being able to do damage whilst avoiding stuff.
i played yesterday MM hunter my aimed shoot hitted 16k damage on mods with 18k hp i was like omg realy buff MM hunters 
True that, Torghast takes over an hour on a Hunter, 45mins on a Warrior. AS feels like an eternity, pet resses are because you die .5 sec before the pet is back. This is good - I’m enjoying having to watch pet health and manage cool downs, and having a more complex rotation than legion gave us. ‘Best’ also includes fun, not just faceroll 
first torghast run i did on MM hunter i did all 6 floors with luusing 1 single HP

I consider DK very good solo’er tho.
How does a warrior have more self heal than a DK?
What do you mean by solo? Solo as in going around doing world content alone, or solo as in queueing endgame content without a dedicated group/guild?
No matter wich, i’d say any hybrid class is the best, druids, monks, paladins, shamans, priests all have an easy time getting into groups, all can multirole, all have baseline healing spells due to healing specs making solo content like torghast and world content a breeze

I see Warrior the same way I see DK, amazing with support but not so hot solo.
Warlocks are good solo. But every class is capable for performing solo in some regard. I wouldn’t say Warlock currently stands out from the crowd.
