Best Talent Build And Secondary Stats For Solo Play Fire Mage (Returning player)

So, i didnt play since legion, i camed back and some talents are kinda confusing for so i hace 2 questions.

  1. Wich is the best talent tree build rn for a solo player, and who does a medium dmg in normal raids and dungeons so i wont get kicked.
  2. Wich are the best secondary stats, i remember most pick and needed is int over everything and in my case of fire age first secondary is crit, wich is the next best secondary stat i need to look after?

I use the WoWhead Sunfury raiding build (with some minor changes, for ex I spec into Blast Wave and Dragons´s Breath to have more interrupts, /stuns /control) for everything, because years of muscle memory don`t want to accept the instant proc Frostfire Bolts during combustion and I don´t like metoor management. Theoretically teh Frostfire build is however IIRC ~5% “better” from a pure patchwerk viewpoint… those 5% are negligible for the vast majority of players, but I do recommend trying both, as well as looking at teh AoE builds if you prefer to run M+. For open world /solo content all of them including the “experimental” builds are viable.
  1. Int > everything of course, because it is your mainstat, not asecondary. Crit is however by far the weakest secondary stat, simply because more han half of our casts are guaranteed crits already so it provides zero value outside of fireballs and non-execute scorch casts.

Haste, haste, haste, haste, and more haste, followed by a significant margin by Mastery+ Versatility which are mostly interchangeable… But they are so far behind the value of haste that when you hit the first DR @ 19500 haste you don´t care ansd still keep stacking haste, because the others don´t start to pull ahead until you have 40% haste unbuffed at the second DR breakpoint…

This 40% value is not or only just barely achievable for most players with current gear, especially with the introduction of the Siren`s Isle ring dropping us down a good 5% compared to 2 “ideal” 626 rings with +/- 4k haste each. I had 39% before equipping it and am noe back down to 34. :wink:

If the char you´re posting on is the char in question,. the first thing you want to do is get to 619+ before even caring at all about secondaries outside of jewelery (neck /rings), because it doesn´t matter how many pyros you can get into your combustion window if they don´t actually hurt. :beers:
