I am an altoholic, currently sitting at 9 120s and 5 110s. The issue is that most of those 120s were leveled during the anniversary AV event where it was fast as hell, and I’ve found 110-120 leveling to be a painful slog.
Is there any faster way to level 110-120 than just questing or should I simply bite the bullet and start questing?
A little questing, some of those zone objectives and dungeons and islands. Pretty much.
Timewalking Cataclysm right now. The War Campaign gives good xp when it unlocks too.
Do the bonus objectives in the first zone (plus regular quests for them) - but they don’t award a whopping lot of XP like in previous expacs - and do the assault/invasion events since many WQs there award bonus XP. Also of course unlock new war campaign zones when they become available. Since it’s kinda mandatory anyway, doing them should be sufficiently motivating.

Open treasures! Use the HandyNotes plugin for that. 1 quest XP per treasure just for flying around. Very anti-burnout activity.
The treasures on the hostile continent should be done close to 120 though, because mobs there don’t scale down. And some of them are better skipped entirely.
Draenor party sync.
Do objectives only. I get 200k xp with full looms plus winds of wisdom.
Drustvar if no options as solo; or … Draenor party sync if can get that.
Most of the guys join BGs and sit AFK , pretending to defend the bases, while they watch a sitcom or a movie. Its ez free XP gain. Just switch to your game from time to time to move a little. BGs are full of XP leechers during this 100% bonus XP event.
Takes 20-25 mins per level just questing (has for me anyway). That’s like 4 hours tops to go 110-120
I am that bored of game that i need to afk for an alt, I rather do something else. Even on my worst one thing i am not and this is being a leech.
The other way is to play in party-sync with low level character. I did that with my Starter Edition + my 110+. I just did the starting zone quests in Northshire … kill 6 wolves, etc 
You gain super XP. And its fast too.
You can repeat them again and again with new low level character party-sync group.
I don’t like the linear way of BfA so I leveled all my alts on pet battles in Pandaria. Somewhere between 1-2 levels doing all the tamers, spirits and fabled quests. Can only do it on one character each day but combining this with questing might break the repetitiveness.
You can buy these DH freehold boost runs.
You’ll get smth like 1level per dungeon, it take 5-7mins to clear it. As i’ve seen they take like 4-5k gold/dungoen.
I boosted couple characters this way with my brother’s DH, really fast. Also all heirloom bonuses included.
