Beta keys to same people as in classic. Not Randomized?

Have you even read your own sentence i’ll translate it for you:
Group x has received beta key i’m not in group x why is group x (again) getting it and not me.

But thats exactly whats happening and what there doing. Companies have dedicated (in house) testers in this phase, these testers won’t have a potential language barrier, or don’t know anything about programming or has any understanding of how object based programming works. At this point there are going to be dedicated testers and people for marketing purposes in the test only. The marketing people (streamer “priveledge” ) Then at a later point in time the’ll open it up for more people to test so they get more of the average joe “how do i decipher this ticket” people to grab a bunch of errors to work on. This will continue up untill a few days before release.

The fact that you dislike this procedure is nothing more then your own inability to understand the process of developing a game. And yes, recreating tbc is the same as developing a game, except you have a lot less artistic freedom

No. I want Blizzard to do no advertising at all for a product that doesn’t exist and won’t exist for months.

I am hung, indeed, and the reason I do not see the regular players is that I am not playing it or watching streams. If I was watching streams or playing the beta, I would see all the other players.

There was a bug for example in the quest tracker that would not show some particular types of objectives unless you looked in the quest log.

To prevent stream hype. Private server streams are also banned, so it’d work.

Ye so you dont want blizzard to earn money, im sorry but blizzard is not a charity.

Home Office has its advantages

Sure it does.

And that’s why you are just a nameless player and not Bobby Kottick with 300 mil bonus. Companies are here to make money and not be charrities or utopian entrepreneur. And if they did miss a lot of money on pre-launch advertising they would be legally held accountable by their shareholders.

You can question the morality of preorders or lootboxes but if it works for the companies it will be used to the max.

Not really. Blizzard banned in “waves” and very granuraly. Even now they don’t seems to care about private server footage used in videos on YT.

Are you even reading what I’m saying? The point is we’re most likely not going to get the Beta, I’ve accepted that now, i’m bummed about it sure.

But with pre-patch not projected until late may why is TBC-beta bait being thrown around willy-nilly. It’s ridiculous. My argument isn’t that I’m not selected for the beta, it’s how it’s being promoted right now like it’s “around the corner” when in reality it’s not even close to happening.

I said the same thing about Shadowlands and how they blue-balled all those retail players for such a long time. (Even though I don’t play it or wouldn’t play it)

The delivery on this is poor.

What I do love after being on this game for nearly 15 years and since yesterday never posted before - how so many people feel like they know how Blizzard think and assume that they know it all.

Forums are about opinions not slamming people down for having them.

No I’m not happy with the way TBC-beta has been promoted-implemented. But it is what it is, i’ll just re-cancel sub and come back when it finally arrives.

Toxic place, I’m very much done with this.

But your not the target of a marketing campaign, you’ve been eagerly awaiting this product for some time now. The targeting players is those who are either playing different games now or returning players from either classic or original TBC. Those groups are hard to reach, it takes weeks to get enough exposure to reach them. To brew the hype, they are also the target audiance that spends the least amount of their money on games. They’ll need to be exposed longer before the’ll give in with their money. That is the reason that the beta starts now.

Also. Leaked data is no guarantee that that is the time schedule they are actually following. We don’t actually know (because they haven’t said this) how long the beta is going to be or when the prepatch is hitting.

Are u guys living in what, early 2000? Didn’t u notice that for some years betas are either sold or used for publicity and marketing only and fixing happens when the games releases ?
