Beware blizzard and be careful how you design game

You started crossing into personal attacks, which means your original argument doesn’t hold.

And I don’t know how many times must I tell you: I don’t “demand” anything.

RPGs are about meaningful choices and realistic like vibe that you get from game design, also they are about grindy stuff that sustains your character in a way that you can do it from beginning of expansion till the end, just usual open world farming content where you have balance between sustaining your character and playing competitive content which is other side of MMORPG. I have been arguing for past 3 days on forum with 5 people literally whole day, yet you want game to be ‘‘easier’’ more convenient because some of you don’t have time? wtf man, I give up, go on have a last word, and I hope if dev is reading this, just ignore these few because they don’t represent majority, even content creators have 10-20k ppl watching and agreeing with them…

Not to mention he says I must leave the game because apparently I’m ruining it for him.

Top notch discussion. I would be proud if I was him… and if I was in 5th grade.

I mean how could you and does your other half know you have ruined it !! they need to put you on the naughty step! :stuck_out_tongue:

No, they are games for entertainment, which should, by definition by enjoyed by all, not just you.

As for the devs actually reading this, lol just shows how little you know.

Yes I know I said I was going, but well, fun is fun.

In your opinion. Not fact.

In your opinion. Not fact.

You can state your opinion. That’s completely fine.
But don’t pretend as if its the truth. It’s just your opinion.
And guess what? There’s people who are going to disagree with you.
And that’s fine.

I literally never said that. In fact, for the last months I’ve been making it clear that I want world content that lasts a whole season and where you are not done gearing in 2 months because that’s just way too fast.

I want a lot of the same things you want man, but you’re doing everyone a disservice by bringing your arguments to the table in the way you have been (spamming threads, aggressive towards others, disregarding people’s arguments).

Nope, we don’t. And here’s the kicker: NEITHER DO YOU!

I just wish they make RPG grindy stuff, the way they made covenants and renown but more tied to open world grind, it would be great time sink, and I do think that is what majority wants, because lets be honest, how many of you were complaining on forums…

The thing to remember is just because you personally enjoyed farming mats and open-world PVP over mineral nodes and herbs, doesn’t mean that everyone or even the majority did…

Example, I farmed mineral nodes to make gold in the AH, I then used that gold to buy ammo, in the AH…but I only did all of that, because what I actually wanted to do was dungeons and raids…not, because I enjoyed the endless grind of farming.

you could even buy ammo from vendors, you see vanilla was perfect in every way, and if yo uwant to minmax then it is a compulsion that you get from competitive feelings, you know that it is a competitive drive that cripples humans and sometimes they act on chat or IRL, thats the compulsion drive

Me too.
But we both have to realize that many people don’t like grinds.

So the best scenario here is: Give us OPTIONAL grinds. Not grinds that everyone is forced to do. Then we can all have our way.

BDO is already a license.

When they say 10-20k views that is nothing out of the millions of players world wide who do not use forums or twitter or watch vids because it means nothing its just somebody view that holds no sway.

I know for a fact you do NOT want easy content you just want content and fun so the person is trolling you.

You weren’t there though, so how do you know?

Edit…this is reaneastus, changed browser.

Yeah, Covenants went down really well with the playerbase and content creators… oh, wait…

Well, to be fair; Blizzard’s take on ‘meaningful choices’ was completely twisted.
I love meaningful choices in RPGs. Covenants were not that.

Well, how many meaningful choices were in Vanilla, even the talent trees were cookie cutter, you needed a fire mage in certain raids to counteract certain bosses. Etc etc.

In the end the option of choice was merely an illusion.

True.
Hell, I was disappointed when they added re-speccing to the game.
But I understood that many people did not like being locked into their choices forever.

While I kinda agree with this, it’s a double edged sword:
Peeps complain a lot about mandatory grinds…however peeps also complain a lot about optional grinds as being pointless fluff…therefore Dev/player time and effort would be better spent on creating something more ‘relevant’ to increasing their power.

I admit, I loved the option to do things, like the hammer you got in Hinterlands to spawn the bad guy in Tanris, the fun of getting weapon efficiency up, all fun but not something that needed to be a grind.

Yeah it’s not easy.
If they make it only cosmetic then the ‘worth’ of the reward is completely subjective.

Maybe it should be a ‘self contained power reward’ - A grind that leads to power that lets you grind more/better that leads to power that lets you grind more/better… And that power of course should not be usable in other content forms.
