BFA Rep grind is ridiculous

I went from honored to exalted in 2 and a half weeks. Hardly a rep grind.
But same time this game could do with removing this daft idea of locking races behind content that you will be repeating on your alt.

Ok. I totally suck at rep grinds (just take a look at my profile). Apart from MOP, I really dont have the patience. However, for BFA, I have hit exalted with every faction. To be honest it was pretty easy, plus the rep rewards are useful if you have just come back. My point is, if i can do it then anyone can

Ive done it, but getting Champions of Azeroth to exalted has taken about a year or since bfa started lol. ive moved onto doing Silvermoon rep instead less boring …forum broke again dont know which avatar this will be…

people who don’t play their main all the time to farm WQ and emissaries are also getting shafted.
Luckily I played my (ex) main long enough that I got exalted 1 day before the patch and I played from the beginning.

I would prefer if they replace rep grind with mage tower a like action
but then people cry even harder because the clickers can’t do it.

so in the end they should just remove the rep grind. Why gate the stupid races anyways? There is just no point in it

That’s because allied races are made to add artificial timeplay.

Blizzard hit two targets with one bullet by making rep grind to play Allied Races so players will stay longer.

some people quit because of the rep grind -> failed
those who played bfa from the beginning merely grinded at all -> failed

like me, I didn’t grind at all and only to the emissary quest when it was up and ignored all other WQs. Mostly this emissary is weapon or equipment cache so was needed anyways.

It is not a problem for people who play from the beginning but people who come back or new to the game and then quit because of this crap.
More people quitting is the last thing that the game needs… but blizzard is stubborn.
I don’t think many people will sub and then mindlessly grind for the new races just to be able to play them 2 month later

I can’t understand but seriously quitting the game because of a rep grind is being silly.

Rep grind is easy, it takes some time but its easy to do.

But well I’m only just giving my point of view.

i m not in the rep grind boat because I got everything, but just telling that I know some that quit because they can’t play the races they want to. Especially hard for pvpers as they get no rep at all.

Of course it is easy, but it is very boring, it cannot really be called content and is very time consuming. If you play the game all the time, no problem it is not really a grind because you will achieve it automatically over 5-6 month, but at that time the races were also not released, so no one cared.

Even if it only drives 1 player away, I don’t think that sub numbers are so great that we want to lose even 1 player

Grinding Ogrilla and Shatari Skyguards rep was much more tedious back then. You can just really autopilot through all these 0/1 quests.

People shouldnt stress about rep so much it will come in time anyway.

WoW is a game that’s supposed to require a lot of time spent in-game to unlock things. It’s one of the things that sets it out from a console game that you finish in a week.

I dont think the reps in BFA are so terrible… Im playin casually since the launch and i have all the requirement for the allied races.
Back in time as nazdramar said it was a nightmare level some reputation. Pre nerf the netherwing was the worst one.
So play and in no time youll gain the rep to have your allied race available

I found the rep grind not very hard. I started in Nov with a fresh main from level 1 and got revered with all bfa factions end of Jan and exalted with all but Tortollans and Talanji start of Mar… That is 4 month casual play… WQ and Mission Table gives a lot of rep if done right.

My alts have started to reach exalted, it really isn’t a grind at all if you play the game. I don’t understand people who seem to hardly play at all seem to have a desperate desire to play an allied race (and post about it)

You really aren’t alone in that. What you lack is the patience and commitment to do a small amount each day over an extended period, but that is your choice.
I do support making it easier though; the current gating is just a means of stretching thin content.

It definitely paid to stick to one char and do WQ clearing until you got that rep to exalted.

Yes grinding reputations is really hard …
Zandalari exalted 11/10/18
Voldunai exalted 13/10/18
Talanzi exalted 18/10/18
Honorbound exalted 2/10/18
Champions exalted 11/10/18
Tortolla exalted 13/10/18

Just do it, already blizzard has catered to whiners who “didnt” play bakc then and didnt have time by making things easier.

Leave all as it is, others grind, everyone grinds.

You want something, bloody work for it.

Emissaries and even a couple Q here, another there, not so bloody hard, if you really cant commit to even that, then dont whine you dont have reputations.

Now I only do emissaries if I feel like doing them, same as I did when I wasnt exalted, and yes I used a contract for Champions.

it aint hard, that is wrong to say, it is time consuming in it´s own way, nothing else, is always fun, not realy, but most of the time you get the rep needed anyways, buy just playing the game.
should the allied races be locked until exalted, that is something that maby should change to about revered instead, becuse that would feel way better already.
Also the legion allied races could be downed to honored, or just put in a quest chain to do, or even just free them up, doesnt matter anymore.

I’m pretty sure that most of the players either have jobs, families and/or school. Yet somehow they managed just fine?

If the allied races are “just a reskin” which you don’t find that interesting, then why is it bothering you so much that it takes some weeks of questing to unlock?

I think we play a different game - I got past honored with all the Questslines in Zuldazar, so already half way there.
With emissyries only your have less than 14 weeks left (21k rep left with 1.5k for every emissary), I think I get missions for an average of something around 200+100 rep for the zandalari empire every day, every worldquest in zuldazar rewards rep for the zandalari and some have bonus rep token. Put a contract on top of that and you get 10 rep for every world quest, wherever it is.
I got to exalted ~6 weeks after reaching 120 and I did not grind, but I was doing the emissaries and some world quests I deemed worthy (most of the time for items I could disenchant).
If you did not do anything for the zandalari up till now, yes you might have a hard time unlocking it in a short period of time, but if you played and did a little outside of raids, dungeons and PvP you should not have to grind world quests to get them within a few weeks.
