SO I’ve decided to jump in and play Wow again, New allied races and raids sound juicy.
I come in thinking I wasn’t too far off on getting my sweet Zandalari trolls.
Sadly I’m only honored with the Zandalari.
Now I’m sure there’s enough threads on here complaining about the rep grind to get the races but honestly Blizzard? Is this how you’re going to keep people subbing?
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind grinding for the races. It’s the mindless Rep grind that I find is stupid and not what this game should stand on. Maybe an insane questline would make it worth it, but grinding out WEEKS just to play a reskin of the normal Zandalari with some beefed up Racials is honestly shameless.
Now the guys going “that’s easy”. Do remember that some people have to work. I can’t pour in the hours to unlock these races and to enjoy the game.
I really hope blizzard changes their minds and actually ****ing removes it as it’s the most shameless attempt to keep people on the servers.

Uhm, the rep grinds in BfA are quite easy compared to previous expansions.
Mindless grinds imply you can get them from the get go by well, mindlessly grinding. However, you cannot do that with Legion and BfA. I think the closest to mindless you can get in BfA is getting a contract and doing every single WQ but it’ s not worth it imo if you can’t spend the time.
I work 30-40 hours a week and play many other games and have a social life inbetween, not much of an excuse considering all you need to do is some WQ’s here and there.

I don’t think anyone is going to tell you ‘that’s easy’, but those of us who have played the game from the start of this expansion obviously have an easier time because we’ve had a lot more time to do the rep grinds.
There is nothing to stop you doing the grind. The sooner you start the sooner you’ll be done. There are lots of guides and information available.

Rep requirements have always been the same. In this particular case they’ve been known for ages.
Do I like them? Not in the slightest. But I don’t really catch your angle really. Against? Yes. But you can’t be much surprised if this has been known for around 6 months
I’ve played from the start but had to take breaks due to financial issues (couldn’t afford gametime due to South African rates).
Point is the grind is literally, do this daily WQ, Do it again, and again, again. It’s mindless.

No I’m making it known that I, a player, wishes it to either be spiced up (made a little more entertaining) or removed completely.

Contracts and missions can help, emissaries obviously give bigger rep rewards.
Ah yes, the decade old “I have a job/need to work” excuse. Put in the hours like everybody else does. It was your own choice not to play World of Warcraft. The rest of us had months to prepare, and you would have too had you been active.
Personally I would much rather have some VERY long and maybe even super hard quest chains to unlock allied races, than doing the same things over, and over, and over, and over again.
I don’t mind doing rep grinds, I just have an issue with the quality of the “product” you get for it.

Difference is old reps were grinding stuff for your character these new bfa reps are leveling your character to cap then grinding boring rep quests with no other options than one route then after you are done you either race change and you don’t get racial transmog or level 119 levels that new character through mind numbingly boring old content.
And its even worse if you don’t have opposite faction high level character and want to play new races.
I really think the requirements for allied races are off putting for lot of us.
Dark Iron was the only one that i really cared about. I would like to play zandalari or maghar but i really have no interest in grinding my old horde character that i have abandoned years ago to level cap and grind boring reps again on horde side just to ditch him.

Yup i would also liked if requirements would have been something interesting like warlock green fire style quest or long quest chain Suramar style to get the races rather than grind bazzillion boring faceroll quests for rep for weeks on end.

I really only play at weekends these days (since over a year ago) and yet I’ve managed to unlock them all
I don’t see the problem at all.

Still missing the main point. The quests are repetitive and extremely boring. I even stated that I don’t mind the grind but instead the way you have to grind. It’s literally mindless.

Well I play the game because I like it … So at the beginning I did every quest and than WQ , war campaign and never thought about the Allied races … and then I just only did the quest chain to unlock them . it takes not so long …
Then you have two options tbh, do or do not, there is no other way.
Everything before legion is bad after that it’s really easy
exalted with the zandalari took me like 5 to 6 weeks after BfA came out with a fulltime job and 3 hours travel time a day to that job and back plus a vacation in the first week of BFA. So yeah, it’s not easy.

Thank you. 6 weeks is a lot of time man.

Just no. It was easier in Legion. Even much easier, via order halls, alts, and Darkmoon Faire. WQs took less time because you could join groups. Also you could focus on just one faction that you wanted as AR.

I think they could have done it better without all the requirements but this is the theme for this expansion so we make do with what we have.
