I assume this was 3s, Drae? I don’t want to undermine how dumb the system is, because it is, but Gushing Wounds is getting a bit inflated here as DH is constantly AoEing DK pets and whatnot.

in arena Yday I meet a DK who’s highest direct damage spell that was something he needed to use was death coil at 2% of his damage

Maybe I am stupid but I really don’t see this as a problem, really. Your damage has always came from your gear before your skill. Now your gear just shows up on the DPS meter on its own, it breaks the illusion. But things have always been like this.
Sure, gear is very important.
But here one corruption does almost half his dps (46%).

But it isn’t one gear piece doing that damage. He’s stacking gushing wounds on as many pieces as possible probably.
Possibly… But judging by how insanely rare Gushing Wounds appear to be, he must be extremely lucky…
And I don’t feel like luck should be the determining factor on whether you do good DPS or not.

Your power came from gear before as well, but if you did not know how to utilize it you more often than not got mediocre results.
Gushing Wound is entirely passive, and all you need to do is to press buttons. You do not even have to do a perfect rotation, or watch for procs to utilize or anything. Just use abilities.
Beside some edge cases to my knowledge random procs were always complementing your damage in the past, not taking over the bulk of the damage your character does.
I think if corruptions were disabled in PvP then most haters would swallow it’s opness in PvE, because it works alonside with them, not against them.
Some might, but not all.
It’s just not enjoyable, to me, to have 0 control over such a large portion of my damage. Though if I had my bis corruptions I might have a different view, as they’re haste% rather than random bursts of damage, so I would have control, but I’m just rambling now. Corruption bad.
Corruption damage is so high that duels last very short, 1 good proc of infinite stars and you won in 4 seconds, it is unhealthy to gaming experience, epic duels lasting for minute or even more are better, ofc it’s just my opinion.

Not to mention that even if you’re decked out in equal corruptions, yours might not even proc in those few seconds while the other guys melt your face, or vice versa.
Blind luck shouldn’t have so much influence in any part of the game, but I’ll concede it’s most damaging in pvp. Pve it’s annoying, but someone else’s corruption proccing won’t lower your score, unlike loosing rating in ranked pvp.
