I know it’s late. I want to know, how is tanking these days,in BFA?
I was leaving a pally ( ally ) as a healer. I found it decent but when I pushed to lvl 50, it became difficult to heal the tank ( ofcource, it’s a bear tank that doesn’t know how to tank or just aggros everything it finds, making the healer quit nor the dps’ers that know how to stun or use their utilities to help the heal or tank)
I switch from healing to tanking, and I found it difficult to maintain aggro. In legion, I could just literally walk and spam my abilities to maintain aggro. But, in BFA, it’s an opposite effect.
I mostly play as a pally. From a DPS ( veteran DPS player ) to healing ( currently ) and a times ( tanking ). Any input regarding healing or tanking, will be helpful.
U cant realy compare tanks on lower lvls and tanking at 50s to 120,there is a huge difference and when u level a tank u often feels like a paper
At 120 with right gear and talents u are at much better spot, always in demand.
Ofc u stil need healer ( depends on content u do) but thats it, everything is needed until u dont over gear content so u just faceroll it… Just stick to it, it will get much better post 100lvl when it comes to taking dmg as tank, or healing other tanks.
All tanking specs are fine if you’re a decent player. I’d say Brewmaster is a bit better in mythic raids than other specs and Brewmaster / Prot Warrior in high mythic+ keys.
But it doesn’t matter than much in the end. If you need to ask this question: honestly just roll what you think is cool.
I haven’t started tanking until recently. Started at 120 on my DH, and I don’t have agro problems. Have to admit that I’m relatively well geared and that I haven’t played much skittish. In terms of end-game tanking, I think it’s pretty easy to hold agro and do your job.
