I am convinced BG bots are a myth. I am convinced because being an IT proffesional, I know how insanely comlicated it would be to code an effective BG bot
Just join a BG and see for urself… BGs below have roughly 50% bots in them… it’s INSANE

Most of the bots don’t do much.
They run out of the startarea and move a bit to the left or right and sit there for the rest of the BG.
bro, i don’t know what game you play, but bots even carry flags. cause there is a lot of bots vs bots games.

They won’t respond or ban bots.
Well maybe they will ban bots in a couple of months, but they will be back again in a few weeks to edited by moderation our BGs again.
Anyway. I’m done with BGs. Just bots and grieving AFK players who openly admit being afk and still don’t participate.
The PVP aspect of the game is completely dead for me now.
This leaves PVE which consists of 2 raids per week for me.
I don’t think it’s worth keeping up the subscription just for that.
Blizz aren’t going to do any banwave, the response time to a ticket is 7 days, they don’t have ANYONE banning these bots manually, and their automated system backfired in the past for so many times that they turned it off, so there is the result we have here.
People don’t even get kicked from a 10 man bg where the 9 others collectively report him, because it can be “abused”. It’s a complete circus out there.
I’m honestly surprised WG has some countermeasures to afking, they could just implement that in bgs.
Problem is they made these bots so Blizzards detection system Warden can not detect them… And they cant be arsed to do anything about it manually. On the other hand if you go take a piss while in bg you are kicked out and banned for a week, what a joke this game has become.
Not just Bgs. I have friends who are currently leveling for Ulduar, and about to cancel their subscription due to being unable to level mining even, due to endless DK bots. What about Blizzard banning these, and making DK gated behind a max level character?
It’s completely out of control. You get into a BG with 4 DKs with names such as Gffhjk, Gfegds, Ghlklsd and Gdfgdsg. Reporting does nothing. A lot of them are from the same guild - Get Rich on Venoxis. It’s a joke.
It’s been a major issue for far too long, TBC was the first time I noticed it being a major issue albeit I seen some fishing bots in Vanilla Classic but no actual bots levelling etc.
I know a korean MMO that actually implemented it’s own botting system into the UI of their Classic game, since botting was so synonymous with it. Ruined the game though having it integrated.
