BG queues are way longer than in SL

Even at the end of SL random BG queues were 5 min max. So why did it change? Because with the gearing system Blizzard removed all incentive to do random BGs after someone gets full honor. In SL everyone had a reason to keep doing random BGs because they needed honor to upgrade gear. As a result the only ones left are mainly undergeared people and fully geared premades doing it just to troll.

You can add the fact that the majority of casual players have stopped PVP’ing because of the state of the premades. When you lose all your players, the queues get bigger.

The DF gearing System is vastly superior to what we had in SL.
Also the queues aren’t long.
I often get invites to bgs and epic bgs within 3 minutes when I queue in the evening. I tried today around noon and it didn’t take long either.

BG ques were never more than 5 min in SL. It used to pop at average 3 min ally side. Horde had bigger population and had to wait 10-15min. Reason why ques are long on alliance: Tons of horde players rerolled to alliance and made ques longer. Long ques are result of uneven population alliance/horde

Yeah I’d put it down to faction imbalance too.

We should speak about how Elitism in world of warcraft kicks casual players out of the game if we are to speak about why ques are so long.
Current zoomerbase has no integrity- > premades, graveyard camping, complete merciless elitism with overkill requirements for groups, no safe space to learn, rating- shaming, stats- shaming and so on.
But its true, wow’s pvp community is totally insufferable and then
ā€œmuh ques longā€
-You gawdayum right they long and just like balding if we collectively dont get better this problem will only get bigger.

its long because its endof season, it was like this last season aswell just way longer.
queues would go up to 25 minutes lol

only today tbh, other days it was way faster, today i felt like queue in the afternoon and evening was somewhat longer, im assuming people are capping rated, and or playing raids/m+ after the reset…

Instead of wondering why the horde has now very fast queues, they prefer to invent that the long queues (only in the alliance) are because the premades have made people stop playing. :man_facepalming:t2:

In Warlord of Draenor we also had long queues in the alliance until EMFH was nerfed and everybody rerolled horde. Now after Hardiness nerf, people is returning to the alliance for PvP, increasing the wait times.

This is more a FOTM playerabase’s problem, but the anti-premades at this rate will say that if an asteroid falls tomorrow and wipes half the world’s population, it is because of the premades.

Nobody is suggesting it is THE reason, it’s just one of several… but yeah keep on twisting what people say

You purposely omit that while Bg queues have increased in the alliance, they have decreased in the horde, so there is no loss of players, but they have simply changed factions.

You got the queues that we had in SL.

and it is not the only thread where I read this type of comments from the usual people.

Of course, with dataz confirmed by Miami.

my take on BG Queues, im ok with 5minute queue timers
you can queue for multiple different BGs at once, like random , epic, blitz, brawl

so i dont get much down time

after blizzcon you usually get a surge in players so after this weekend you’ll see quicker times

  • also random bgs, are just that, random, usually I’m chilling watching a film between queue pops
if i get bored of doing that ill go play a different game

its not really Endgame content to me

In SL there was a reason to keep doing random BGs. What incentive is there in DF after you get honor gear?

The fun of playing the game, jesus wept… what the hell is wrong with this generation of gamers that they can’t just enjoy the spectacle that is the BG without having to get something for it… we are playing random BG’s for God’s sakes, just a game, one side against the other, for entertainment… why the hell do you absolutely have to get something for it other than the fun you originally started gaming for in the first place… dear me :person_facepalming:

It’s funny that you talk about skill when the last time we met in 1v1 the most you could do was try to unsuccessfully knock me to the edge of the BG before dying without going me down even 10%

What a shame you didn’t leave the Stream public.

You are a failed attempt of mage .

ill set you a fun challenge to do when you get bored

try to get yourself a set of gear that shouldn’t work with your spec

example:

  • instead of stacking haste as a Affliction warlock, you stack Crit
with your non Bis Stat fully geared, jump into Battlegrounds and try to get 20 killing blows

this challenge should last at least couple hours if you are bored

Actually Nakamura is quite a skillfull player, when I ended up in your premades you seem to have a pocket healer, not hard to push numbers in a premade, infact I recieved 200k heals to your almost 7m.

Tell me, was this in DF, when Mage is considered pants and Shaman can kill you in 2 globals? Nakamura is a far better Mage than you can ever aspire to be as a Shaman.
