Recently my partner and I have been waiting, on average, around an hour in a random BG queue. The average wait time seems to suggest 14 minutes and has been happening for the past few days. Are others having this issue as there’s no mention of this online?
It’s probably not massively relevant, but strangely coincidental, the last 10 battlegrounds or so me and my partner were teamed up with a lot of bots (or just really really bad players) and basically just losing all the time. This never seemed to be the case before, so I’m not sure again, if anyone else experienced this also.
I’d report it to Blizzard but they like to make you jump through about 100 hoops just to submit a bug these days!
WoW PvP is dead. Both factions empty. They ruined PvP gearing system after Legion. They destroyed PvP servers and communities. Warmode is a failed system. People are gone and are not coming back. Only option is to wait Wrath Classic. GW2 or SWTOR only options meantime.
I try to only queue merc mode on my Horde, nice 3 min queues!
Do the right thing and join the Alliance. Enjoy your 2 min random and 3 min epic bg que.

Horde is just overpopulated that’s the problem.
I switched from horde to alliance for this specific issue

Question is why? During Cata and MoP Alliance was overpopulated.
To me it’s pretty obvious :
Sylvanas / Garrosh hellscream leadership started to make look the horde faction more “bad boy-ish” than alliance. Alliance were more comparable to the nice-guys while the horde would be the rebel / anti-conformist type of faction.
As it’s a fantasy game, people tend to prefer to play the villain / rebels than the nice-guys.
I know that lore wise and in WoW classic, both faction are pretty equal especially when you read books. Alliance is even more mercenary-ish and hungry for bloods but everything in the game the past 5-6 expansions has been made to make us feel that alliance are just nice-regular-guys. So remaining pvp alliance being chain-farmed after mass alliance to horde migration, alliance players started to align more with PvE with war mode off while PvP would be more horde with many good ex-alliance pvp players playing there.
When you play horde it’s just feel you’re a part of a movement (I used to play undead for the past few years but switched to alliance to have more challenge / less bigger queue)
Random bg is pain as horde Merc if you want a fast win just too bad you cant merc brawls

Human Racial was extremely OP. They changed it a while back but can’t remember when.

wow is just behind the times…its dumb that horde only plays against alliance…just do mixed blue team against mixed red team…its the easy solution to this mess

During cata and MoP alliance had the best pvp racials which were basically a free trinket for humans. This was leagues above anything you could get on horde which made alliance THE pvp faction.
At this point the opposite was for horde, who had the best pve racials. But at some point blizzard nerfed the racials on alliance and made horde racials best for PvP aswell. This caused a lot of people to roll back to horde that was already doing well in pve and also got now the pvp racials aswell, so you had literally no downsides.
This situation lasted for way to long which caused a snowball effect of people rolling over to horde. The less people stayed on alliance the worse the faction became and you started getting troubles finding teammates for arena which caused even more people to wander off to horde.
Blizzard should just had to keep the status quo of one faction being better at pve and one at pvp instead of making one faction superior in both things for such a long time that now unless alliance gets something really game breaking noone will switch over.
They did it with rated BGs. I don’t see why it’s not the case
Rated BGs allow merc mode?
Why don’t just remove ractial abilities? So that anyone can choose the personal best looking race.
Agree with the one talking about bad and good guys. I love my undead warlock, I played this class since WotLK…
Now I’m about to switch to the alliance. I only want to play pvp and some dungeons as a casual so it is clearly a MUST for me…
Anyway it’s difficult abandon may life’s character…

I personally do not want to wait 10-40 minutes for BG.
I don’t care how many heals there will be in their or my team (according to rumors, 2 is needed in each, which is why it takes so long to select heals)
I don’t believe what the pick time is among a heap of servers, as far as I know there are more than 20 servers
Many people just want to be fan of BG, and it doesn’t matter that you have 25k HP and your opponent has 60k
Why would I lie bruh ? The queves are as I said in the evenings, when there are lots of folks online. Right now on EU realms the queves are 4 and 8 minutes for ally.
/edit Also checked the horde, 13 and 28 minutes.
