The problems sound a bit like network issues so I would rule out the obvious:

  • If you use wireless connection try with a wired connection.
  • If you use wired connection try replacing the cable (the cable might look fine to eye but it can easily have damage from eg. if the cable had too tight loops etc).
  • If you use wired connection try with a wireless connection or another network card.

I assume other network stuff in your household remained the same so the problem, if it is network related, is likely in the upgraded computer so trying to rule those out would help.

Not sure if you’re still having an issue here. But I had this as a problem for ages. Spoke to other who also had a problem and it turned out for every single one of us it was the overclocking on the GPU. The shadowlands patch cause issues where it would spike GPU usage to 100 which causes a mini crash before the GPU can restore itself. In some cases for people it was even the out of the box overclock that caused the problems so if you’re still having issues try underclocking it slightly. I only needed a tiny change to fix it.
