Ele is not bad by any means wtf…it is among the best, if not the best caster.
It has weak cc, but that is about the only weakness atm. It also doesn’t do well against DH and UHDK, but you can still win those matches.
Ele has high consistent damage, which is even higher if you are getting trained. It is naturally more tanky against melee because of high armor, it can absolutely kite with knockbacks, static totem, frost shocks and lasso.
It has mediocre burst, but the current tier bonus does pack a punch and gives ele some extra oomph so that it isn’t reliant exclusively on just pad damage. You can still expect games to go dampening, and because ele damage is easy to dish out, you can focus on using your kit to disrupt, peel and kite.
Man its so funny to me that you were qqing about MM and think ele is weak. Ele is so much better then Marksman, it makes me sad, because I play both. The difference is day and night.
EDIT: I misread your post, you dont think ele is weak. And it really isnt. Rest still stands, it is the best caster spec against double melee and quite powerful into other casters. Seasoned winds pvp talent is really op into locks, shadow and frost/arcane mages if you can land interrupts consisstently.
DH, uHDK and ofc rogues are giving the biggest struggle.
As I said in the other topic. This season is extremely tempo based and is very fast. Ele and Boomy are doing good in this meta as they do a lot of instant damage. Arcane and Devoker are doing good into meele because they are some of the best specs at kiting. Also meta is limited to 3 healers R Druid, then H Paladin, then R Sham. There are few comps for Disc and Dragon and that’s it. Caster MW and H Priest need some love.
Melee damage needs to be toned down first and foremost. Afterwards soul leech needs to be removed. It’s such a skilless and senseless ability. Literally no counter and no thought process behind it. I end multiple solo rounds with locks healing like 4 or 5M while as I’m an actual hybrid and heal for half of that, using multiple long duration CD and hard casting a lot
It’s spread on 3 target, basically 40k per target.
Not saying it’s weak but dh/dk/monk do almost same dmg but in single target.
Most of aff are doing great at fake cast, some are unkillable if they get full duration soul burn:drain life so you gotta not miss your interrupts or stop it by any way.
