I am in a hunt for “[Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]”, but I´m curious ´bout some things and stuff.
So, recently I´ve found out that “Bindings of the Windseeker (left and right)” are only for specific classes, such as: Warrior, Paladin and Rogue. (If I am not wrong and correct me If I am wrong.)
I obtained the left side on my Warrior, but in order to start a quest I need to have the right side as well.
My question would be: does anyone know, am I gonna be able to start a quest for “Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker” if I got left side on my Warrior and for an example, the right side on my Paladin? That´s a bit strange and the only thing confusing me, so I am accepting every answer you could provide to me.
I’m pretty sure that you need both bindings on the same character to start the quest. Especially because they are BoP so you cannot send one to another character.
Every spec that can use a 1h sword can mog into it. Per example my Ret Pala can not mog it, but as holy or prot i can.
My Frost DK alt can (And currently are) etc. I farmed it on my ret paladin.
That wouldnt help you. You need both bindings on the same char. Some people get the quest when the first binding drop. It didnt for me, so i farmed MC every week for four months until i finally got both bindings, then i went to the NPC in Silithus and got the quest and the rest was done in 30 minutes.
You can technicly obtain it on any class. But you need a class that can equip it in order to get a Feat of Strength and transmog appearance so it limits classes to Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Mage, Warlock.
And as others said you need both on the same character.
I got it on my ret pala main, wich mean i can mog it as holy/prot, and ofc on my alts who can use 1h sword.
What i am not sure of: If you get it on a class that cannot use 1h swords on any specs, will it be mog`able accountwide still? (I dont remember if there were any classes who cant use 1h sword and to lazy to check it out atm)
No, you need to able to equip and item in order for it’s appearance to unlock for transmog collection. So if you get in Shaman, Druid or Priest then you won’t unlock it for transmog.
I can actually equp my thunderfury on my ret, but not mog it. But i can mog it if i respec to holy or prot. And i can mog it on my dk, dh, rogue etc.
However, to adress what you say: Yeah, thats my interpretation aswell. But:
Last month ive been doing some transmog farming in Legion raids since they enabled legacy loot for it.
Been targetting the Paladin set from Tomb of Sargeras, LFR and Heroic ones.
So Death Knight shoulders and chest drop in a run. I cant equip those on my pala, but they become available for transmog for my DK who have never set foot in ToS.
I try then to farm paladin pieces on my dk, and pala legs and cloak drop, but not mog`able on paladin (?)
Totaly get what you feel m8. I got both droped in single run for my priest and it took several months to get both for my war.Indeed you must get both of them on single char and make sure to bring enough money for further quests
