Bis gun stolen by trash warrior

So i was on naxx 25 as hunter. Killed Khel and gun dropped. Me and other hunter rolled. After a while warrior who was doing 2k dps on bosses rolled like 90 and raid leader from his guild gave him the gun.
Is it cool? I know he has right to roll but what about weapon prio?
I wouldnt mind that much but XXX - warrior was totally useless in raid and that gun isnt so much upgrade for him. I feel cheated.

MS/OS loot rules dont take anyones dps or weapon prio into account. LC loot rules would probably give you the weapon.

Naming and Shaming isn’t allowed on the forum. Your post is fine, but delete the name of the person and the guild that you have outed in your post, it’s both frowned upon by the community and against Blizzard’s rules of posting on the forum.

Stuff like this happen all the time when you decide to pug instead of commiting to a guild . And doesn’t matter what loot rules the guild runs , in loot council the gun automaticaly goes to hunters and in epgp/dkp you can save your points to get that item first .
Looks like the loot rules of your run were ms>os and not SR . Better luck next time and if you decide to continue pugging look for SR runs and not just ms>os .
Oh , by the way , Envoy of mortality is BiS not just for Warriors , but for Rogues aswell
The same way we hunters “steal” melee weapon statsticks from Warriors , Rogues , Retri Palas and Druids without giving a damn , we get the same treatment when it comes to our ranged weapons .

To start, naming players and guilds is against ToS.

This sounds like this was a PuG?, if so loot priority will not exist im afraid, its a all for all in that sort of enviroment realistically, and while its debatable if a good raid leader would honestly involve people wanting it for stat stick purposes,

overall loot priority is generally built on the concept of benefitting the raid over a singular player, in a pug they arent garunteeing running raids with you therefore the raid wont benefit prioritising the largest benefit of items.

So its not a incorrect move, but yeah its going to annoy some players, but that is the nature of PuG enviroments.

On his performance, that doesnt rly come into it, you can remove players from the raid based on performance sure, but to restrict them from rolling and putting in the identical time investment would be a grey area.

Pugs wont carry loot priority, loot priority doesnt exist to be fair it is used to ensure the raid is progressing overall at the fastest way possible to make content easier and easier each week. That doesnt work for pugs so yes. Anyone and everyone shpuld be rolling on upgrades regardless of whats going on.

Unless the pug is explicitly stating theyre going to give u the weapon or prioritise u if it drops, dont assume such would be applied.

Dunno about that. We both like drama and care about our characters reputation. It’s why so many hide behind alts.

Even in MS>OS they should really be prioing weapons to those who use them as mainhands rather than stat sticks. Kinda like how in Classic Brutality Blade is technicually BiS for hunters but any decent person would agree it should be rolled out to rogues and warr dps first.

I’ve seen loot rules screw over hunters multiple times in Wrath so far and they coincidentally seem to be class least represented in PuG groups

“Oh if the sword drops only melee can roll, and if the staff drops only the ferals”

You should ask them to state the loot rules for weapons at the start of the run so everyone is clear. I believe GMs can take action if these are loot rules are broken. If there isn’t any prio for hunters to get ranged weapons, find another run!

(I’m aware GM ticket wait time is 1.5 month right now :upside_down_face: )

So what rules were given before the run?

I can guess, none at all, so the LM can do what they like with the loot and you cannot report them.

Is it fair? If the rules were MS/OS then yeah it’s fair, that Warrior just got his BIS gun. Now is it a less than ideal situation that it’d go to a Warrior as effectively a minor upgrade/stat boost? Yep, but if no rules were laid out with regard to guns and Hunters what can you do?

He didn’t steal the item, he won it fairly by your own admission. The issue was with the loot rules. This is less likely to happen in a guild, especially since you can have more clear loot rules set out beforehand.

This was a MS>OS run where the loot rules where stated multiple times before we started.
I get that you are upset about loosing the gun. We had internal discussions about it but decided that it was simply fair for the warriors and rogues to roll aswell since there were no rules regading the gun. Next time i would advice you to ask if there is any loot priority, instead of making an assumption.
The warrior who won the gun said himself that he would have given the gun to the hunter if he would have asked kindly with repect.

Damn my comment got kinda butchered, but i guess you get the point.
//Outofnames (my old main)

And you hunters keep getting my feral dudu’s weapon like Journey’s end. Keep your paws of my weapon!

Opposite thing happen.hunter ranget weapon win rogue on roll but they give it hunter instrad

To be fair every raid will have a rogue but not every raid will have a hunter

We r getting this loot system in retail

Hunters rolled on Accuria and DFT.

If its an upgrade for the warrior, suck it up like warriors had to.
