So has anyone been able to find a single Black Lotus out in the world?
I’ll be honest and say that I haven’t seen a single black lotus in my grind from my 50-60 and even when Ive been out gathering herbs or mining at 60.
I know a lot of people and guilds have these on farm having alts parked at spawn locations with timers running so they know when to log but but I’m thinking surely I should have stumbled across one by now even from dumb luck as I know the spawn locations and even play at 2am-6am some days because of my work schedule but even at that freakish time I’ve still not stumbled across one.
I’m just wondering if anyone else has had more luck? I’m playing on Gandling and it’s a high pop server.
They are indeed extremely rare.
My lvl 60 has only ever seen 3, where he managed to pick 2 of them.
I haven’t been actively been farming for them though.
I came across 3 of these the first month in EPL randomly in the early hours of the day (I believe it was around 06:00-07:00 in the morning).
After that I’ve never stumbled up on them, but I’ve camped a couple in stealth just to sap/blind those who patrol them and steal it right in front of their nose.

I’ve seen a few after spending countless hours at Winterfall Village, in the one spot I know them to spawn… they’re not there for long though
After I got epic mount I got rid of herbalism and got engineering but I’ve found 4 total at the same location each time, Tyr’s hand.
Saw one when I was flying over Burning Steppes at early levels back in August. Then saw another one last week in Burning Steppes while herbing/mining around 4 AM. My heart started pumping just from the excitement of seeing it, but there was already 3 horde going all over me when I got close and 1 alliance rogue trying to sneak pick it. Horde warlock got it in the end but we killed the other two.
I never seen blk lotus tbh but I saw somebody yell in chat something like OMG MY FIRST LOTUS YEEEEEEE so I guess they exist?
Great idea, those redicilous big servers aint it.

Seen 2 since hitting 60 in late october, both in the early hours of the morning while farming elementals in silithus. Both were picked by someone before I could as much as write in /1 that I see one. The elemental farming area was empty, mind you. So thete is definitely some timed logging involved.

Not to be rude, but is this coming as a surprise. Even on low pop farming 24/7 I only get 2-3 a day.
This game AINT made for mega bigga servers just saying once again.
Blizzard did state that 2019 low pop servers are as 2004-2007 full servers.
So why did they add this mega bigga server??
Because they knew that the major player base is drop in ppl, there don’t get social and basically want a ”lfg button” u got that on your mega bigga server /world chat.
So ask your self this. When u see 27-30 ppl online from 08-12 in weekdays in eastenplague lands. How is it when it’s peak? (that’s one faction, then we got same amount in the other faction too)
Is this the hidden new agenda to destroy the classic experience ?

And my opinion, that’s not giving ANY real classic experience.
100x raiding guilds with 200 player in each guild have fun! (ofc alts, not 24/7 active etc) but that’s just to much.
Wonder when ppl realize that’s where the problem comes from.

Few of MY guildies always farming lotus, they write down the times when they find one in discord, so they are back at the spot when it respawns.
I got 8 the last week doing some runs in Burning Steps. Also seen a few taken by others before i could get there.
Got 5 i think while leveling up.
Patience is the key to get any.
Yeah I guess you’ll see more being the majority faction on Netherguard Keep. I don’t think it comes down to patience though as I spend a lot of time herbing and mining and have done so for the past 2-3 months and I’ve not stumbled across one even when am lapping a zone for hours in the early hours of the morning.
I know that we have some hardcore guilds on our server who have world boss spawns locations under constant surveillance so I’d also imagine that this guild plus others have alts parked at every possible spawn location in every zone it spawns in and once they know the spawn times literally no one else stands a chance.
I wonder if Blizzard will intervene because this could become a big issue later on when flasks are actually needed and 1 guild has monopoly on them and being raiders they aren’t likely to sell them.
I’d personally like to see them put back inside Dire Maul at least people will have half a chance then even if they are made even rarer than out in the world because at the moment there’s no way you can compete.
I saw one on the minimap through “Track Herbs”, but someone picked it before I could actually see the flower itself.
I almost gave up on herbing, I’m just enchanting for gold now
people use lvl 14 hunter on alt account to scout all the lotus spawns super fast

Servers not made to have that kind of population…

Blizzard increased the server cap way, WAY to much!
Why not fix that instead.
Add 20 more servers world wide.
Lower the pop, force ppl to move.
Now u will have 50% higher chance on ur farming spots.
Ppl ain’t seeing the real problem here.
Ur ”server” is no community just another drop in-game with ”lfm mc, onyx, 5 mans” no need of guilds. Again blizzard found a way to cuddle the casuals… And fec the hardcore players to be more active to farm for their mixmax.
