Black Lotus and WSG Adjustments Incoming

I’m sure you can find a true to vanilla private server easily then. This isn’t vanilla, this is wow classic. An iteration of vanilla where blizzard takes incentives how they want to.

At least we can all agree looking on the AH now . That there wasn’t a shortage of Black lotus on the servers  . That a change was needed was indeed to expect. Now lets see what the spawn rate will be and how far the prices will drop.

The salt is palpable

I played on private servers , and indeed they where more difficult . Less populate and no multiboxing our other idiot gold farms. Most of them give a better vanilla experience then this classic version

Black Lotus is literally the only commodity that actually requires ppl to farm gold like crazy and stock up like that. What else were you going to spend that gold on, exactly?

You people who complain about this change don’t seem to understand that it’s your behavior of treating Black Lotus like Bitcoin instead of a consumable that caused prices to soar so high and required Blizzard to take action as it did. Because if ppl stocked up only to use those Lotus you wouldn’t see all this panic selling you’re seeing now (at least on my server).

Times change. You can go back to your private servers if you want. This isnt 2005, this game isnt vanilla. You are playing classic, your youth is gone, hours you invested in it are also gone. Either adopt to new generation or go do something appropriate to your age, raise kids or something as you should.

So… will the spawn rates be adjusted based on a server’s population? A consistent increase across all realms would make BL far too common on lower pop realms and possibly not fix the issue on higher population realms (depending, of course).

The earlier the better.

We don’t even know when the change will be implemented, and that’s your best answer?

nice to destroy our farming #Kappa
I farmed 2-3 Black Lotus per week, to buy consumable for my main and twink char and now you destroy it completly

thank you Blizzard

If you spend 500g+ per week on consumables, I don’t think many people will feel sorry for you. You can either spend some of that time farming consumables/gold, or play less.

So why dont you just leave and go play on a private server if you are unhappy with classic? Let the filthy casuals who dont know better keep enjoying what they do. That would save you money too!

Okey so. Now that you’ve announced that you’re going to hotfix the WSG exploits people are hella keen on taking full advantage of them before they’re fixed so please implement these hotfixes ASAP and preferably hire a few GMs to hunt for these premade exploiters. It’ll also passively open up a lot of server space with all these cowards being banned for exploiting

you are one of a handful of people who actually sold them then

If you were going to use those Lotus to make flasks, nothing’s lost isn’t it?

Cool story bro. No, actually my sock is in my bank and partly converted into flasks. Simple database queries can tell if I abused layering and/or sold gold. Lot’s of things I bought or farmed early was for investment purposes. Golden pearls were 6g at launch and now 50g. Smart people bought them early knowing that the value would go up when people had more gold and when the demand went up. Simple economics.

The problem here is that we were told not to expect changes. The fact is that so many lotus were farmed by cheaters with dead lvl 1s and account sharers using their friend’s/partner’s/guildy’s account against the ToS.

If the folks at Blizzard were remotely competent they would have clamped down on those two things without actually having to make changes that affect the honest guys.

The problem was that Lotuses were simply too pricey. Bot or not bot, BL shouldn’t cost over 200g a piece. Right now they cost 100g a piece on my realm (they were at 150g pre-fix), which is still quite high but manageable.

To all a$sblasted BL hoarders: suck a fat one. You absolutely deserve it!
