Black Temple Timewalking

Can someone tell me why i keep seeing listings for Illidan skip?
Im confused.
Does this mean they skip Illidan? Why would you skip last boss?

Someone has a lockout for Illidan. So you skip the entire raid and usually the lock holder will ask for tips. You teleport in to the raid, speak to the NPC at the entrance to get to Illidan (or close to). The guy holding the lockout will leave the raid and move on to selling it to the next group.

Ah thanks for the explanation.
I’d rather keep my gold and do the whole thing

I just report those groups that asks for tips.

Why? it’s not against ToS!?

You don’t have to give any tips if you don’t want to, there is nothing against sharing an ID and asking for tips…

For what?
Whats the problem asking for tips if you help people to skip unnecessary parts of the raid?

Depends on the group, there were some with “tip for invite” as name, who is clearly against TOS.

Is selling something for gold on group finder.

Yes, but there’s a difference between “you have to tip to get invite” and “tips are welcome”, and “asking for tips” is the latter, which may or may not be against ToS (hence the question), but if it isn’t then reporting them won’t matter.

to compelte the hero gear weekly fast .

Mandatory tips is no different than paying gold for boosts, its just another word for it. They are selling a skip aka a service, for ingame currency, wich is entirely within the rules. The ethics of boosting services is an entirely different matter, and everyone is entitled to an oppinion. Reports should not be based on oppinions though, but Sinergy seems to love throwing reports arround, i saw him report someone for making a thread about breakfast.

Yes, and ppl got fed up with the boosters in group finder so Blizzard, rather than putting a stop to it, made a channel for it, which means advertising for it outside of that is a reportable offence (as I understand it). However, someone just saying “tips welcome” isn’t quite that, and thus wouldn’t be a reportable offence making it a waste of the reporter’s time
(therefore the original question was twofold: 1: is there a rule violation in saying “tip if you like” and 2: if 1 isn’t a rule violation then why waste your time on something that will have no effect (or at least only a negative effect on you)).

I purposely look for those who have completed the quest when I form a TWing raid group. Many of these people take the skip option, and then decide they want the rest of the bosses also. This means that you get about people leaving once you hit Illidan because they know they don’t need the boss. They knew they were going to do this before the raid enters.

Share the quest before you start and check who has already completed it. I don’t have any objections to people skipping, GL to them. Don’t screw with other groups though just because you decided you wanted more afterall.

Most do it for free just tips… I tip 1000 as what is that a daily quest lol.

You get reported for bs things here. The worst thing you can do is disagree

You should get over yourself. Unhide your post history, I dare you. I bet at least half of your posts harp on about reporting people for transgressions that only exist in your mind.
