Blind people playing (classic) WoW

I don’t usually post stuff inhere, but today I came across this wholesome channel on youtube, its about a almost blind guy playing wow.
I believe the mod he uses, is made by a German person who made it specifically for blind or visually impaired people, so they too can get to play and enjoy wow, it’s pretty simple yet awesome as everything is audio guided.
The pathways these players are guided through has been recorded by volunteers, who also made sure to take the safest path to the destination of the quest/NPC etc. I really find that to be amazing as well.

This particular video I want to share from this channel. Is this group of blind/Visually impaired people, being guided out and about the world of Azeroth do do a quest chain. I found it so heartwarming and awesome that people are willing to do stuff like this, and to see that there’s also room for people with various disabilities in this game :heart:

I wonder how does one enjoy playing a game if they can’t see it?
Genuine question, not trying to be an a-hole.

I know we have visually impaired players on the forum here, so maybe they can give you some answers :blush:

I doubt completely blind people can, at least not much. They’d better enjoy playing more text-based games, such as MUDs or card games.

However, most blind people can actually see, just their eyesight is extremely bad, ie. can’t read, see details on the map, or make up the shape of distant landscape. There are even people who drive despite of being medically classified as blind. Those would still be able to enjoy the game with the WASD and mouse controls.

I am already blind in my left eye, I’m deathly afraid of losing sight in the other.
