Can the next patch please address these two talents.
Most of the holy talents are actually useful or have niche areas of use. But a couple are basically fillers that devs just had no idea what to do with the spots.
Cosmic ripple is absolutely dull trash that barely does any healing. If anything it should be a holy priest passive. Not a full talent! Make it a passive or replace it with something more, dare I say. Fun.
If it’s a talent designed for aoe, perhaps interact with our PoM? Cause the next PoM to explode doing a holy nova on trigger (every 30 seconds?) passive. Healing only, not dmg.
secondly is blinding heal. In theory this heal is amazing, spamable, 3 folk healed, word cool downs. Apart from one thing. At 197ilvl it heals for about 1.3k on each person. Buff it, or make it baseline or replace it, it is absolutely useless in its current state.
I used to use it in legion mythic+, I cannot imagine it being used for anything right now. It needs a flat spell power % increase to make it even remotely useful.
That would be nice, but binding is also a bit iconic.
They should have done a fair bit of work on the holy talents. The base toolkit is alright, spell for different scenarios. A revamp of talents could really work to help holy while still keeping the holy feeling and playstyle intact for the most part.

Shamans crit for 28k+, what exactly you consider high?
The problem in not on normal and HC that groups are over 20, in big groups holy is great but still nothing like the rest. Its bottom tier according to warcraftlogs.
Halo is also iconic and they capped it at 6 targets, that was the biggest blow in Holy inside raids imho
I think if you really enjoy a class despite its short comings you can make it work. Granted there will always be a “best” class for certain situations. Stacked AoE healing on Sire for example is unbeatable against a resto sham.
I genuinely don’t consider Holy as bad as all these armchair Warcraft logs generals suggest.
Most classes are as good as the players behind them.
You can do all content as any class/spec. Some may have clear advantages and may be able to push further/higher but mythic raid/+15 all dungeons/pvp ranks/rating for elite set will be doable for all during the contents patch.
Its whether you want to do that content or not that will stop you.
Nobody said it doesnt work OR it cannot clear HC content, i actually cleared HC 2nd raid week as Hpriest. The problem is the spec’s output feels really horrible nowadays and this does not lie:
Hpriest was not a super-spec either in BFA but i had a great fun with many OP classes then, seems nowadays its really impossible because of the AoE caps and the Hpriest identity to be the best raw HPS healer in AoE situations.
I think they just missed a great opportunity to do something with the holy talents.
Revamping the talents would have been an easy way to introduce the QOL improvements holy really needs while keeping its identity intact with its base toolkit.
It is a shame it didn’t happen and I’m skeptical that it ever will.
But yeah holy is capable, its whether you can get invited that is another thing entirely.
I’m also not surprised to see other specs perform better in HPS either in mythic. Echo is a great heal but also falls victim to becoming overheal. Both echo and renew were a big part of my healing but “hots” are hots.
I myself am getting back into my disc boots after not playing it seriously since Uldir. But more to make easier picking upgrades from GV also. Lack of loot kind of affects making the choice difficult to optimise for both (though not impossible).
I quite enjoy holy a bit more in raids but I dont not like disc.
From a PvP perspective (and I haven’t thought it through fully) but I would love to see Lightwell return in some capacity and some tweaks to Cosmic Ripple to increase it’s healing by x%
Disc for examples as the ability to “pre-Dome” goes / before they are CC’d, something like this / the return of Lightwell would give Holy that ability to pre-empt incoming CC.

There are always meta-slaves in this game, if you open your LFG you will find people demanding shamans to heal their 8’s, does not mean holy priest cant but it means its a hell for Hpriest to get a spot.
Yes that would be a perfect call honestly if youre aiming high and fast but still with that messy balancing + the 0 loot rewards i kinda lost my apatite to play atm so going shadow only for causal M+ keys and thats it for me.
Sadly we are, compared to the rest that 2 of them are overtuned but that comment was not made as an insult, its just how things look and how players perceive the spec to be. Dont forget i do main it myself.
I agree with that we would need a change in our talents. Most of them honeslty suck and are quite boring to say the least. I really enjoy playing H Priest but they just feel like a smaller sibling compaired to the other healers. They’ve been low for quite a while now. I mean, shoudlnt disc have a break soon from being a A-tier for 500 expansions. Yes I’m exaggerating, but please Blizzard do something about it, just make them more fun and viable.
This is a huge problem, and has been for a while. Blizzard’s design philosophy seems to be that if a class has at least one spec that “works”, they feel no need to work to get the others up to par. And both Blizzard and the playerbase REALLY loves disc, so holy’s left in the dumpster forever design-wise.
Well sadly to achieve a point where disc loses its advantages the spec would be gutted and lose its identity and the same could be for holy (its identity). Balance is very difficult in the situation of these 2 specs.
Its not about numbers because if both were perfectly even disc still has its absorbs and damage reduction.
You could get into a big discussion on how to make holy viable but ideas would either not be in the right direction or make holy dominate and invalidate disc.
Personally I would have liked to have seen holy give “blessings” to buff other players. But if it affected through put enough it could make holy too strong for progress to push bosses. But if you had enough to do bosses then holy would just be a log buffer and still unnecessary.
