Blitz deserter for missing a queue

What is going on with this thing that was supposed to save us from premades?

The Blitz queues are so long that my character is set automatically to /afk status while waiting for popup. Today I was looking at some websites while waiting for Blitz queue. When the queue popped, it was automatically declined and I got deserter debuff because my character was on /afk status. I did not even have a one single second to accept it! I did not miss or decline the queue, I wanted to enter the bg :expressionless:

When i get q pop my wow in the taskbar blinks orange ._.

It does not matter. As I explained. My game automatically declined the queue as soon as it popped because my character entered /afk status

I see. Could swear im afk whenever it pops ingame must have been very weird timing

What could prevent it would prolly pre /afk disable auto removal in the settings and just pressing 1 button all 10 minutes so you don’t get logged out.

This changing was supposed to help with the q syncing problems, not to harm the average person.

For everyone it’s blinking in orange once blitz pop. You skip the queue without noticing? It is your problem.

Or rather say you want to defend que sync?

Do you read before posting in a thread? If so you would not only know that this information got already shared, you would also see that this was not the issue OP described.

It’s not normal that a que pop automatically declines, only because your character got the afk status outside of a pvp instance.

Sounds like addon to me

Well you did miss the invite anyway, without the debuff the result is the same, you need to queue and wait again.

In a case of this debuff it only means 1 minute of delay, if you miss it for the first time, that is hardly noticable.

In this case I cannoy even do anything on browser because if at any point my character goes afk, it declines the queue instantly xD

I usually alt + tab and watch something on YT or read some web pages and my minimized WoW just blinks orange in the task bar when the invite is sent.

Actually the queues for me this week have been great and much better.

Like most others replying, you haven’t read the OP’s post.

This is probably the truth. The auto-AFK status kick from the queue isn’t a game-mechanic problem; it’s more of a human thing: you weren’t paying attention, or something else was more engaging.

im alwyas in afk status and never the game auto left the queue, i really think you must have an addon messing with your game

I think Gïzmø might have solved it. There is no official evidence that /afk status automatically declines Blitz queue pops. One player reported it but provided no proof, and other players disputed the claim. The only confirmed mechanic is that failing to accept the ready check results in a decline. Idle timers are real, but I found no official confirmation that they remove players from Blitz queues.
