Hello there.
Do pardon me, but i can’t help but notice that each time that a BG ends in a 1-1 situation, with flag carrying, it ends up with it not counting as a tie and the enemy team always gets the victory. Can someone please explain it to me why this occurs? it’s frustrating that all the effort put into capping a flag goes null if the enemy did so as well, not resulting in a tie and causing another loss.
Flag battlegrounds have always been the last one to cap is a win, the only way you can tie is 0-0, you shouldn’t be letting them cap and if they do you should endeavour to be 2-1.
Ah, Thank you for explaining!
I suppose blizzard didn’t think well about how to design the flag carry Bgs, then.
or maybe they did ?
u know tie/draw basically counts as both team losing
if the 1-1 wasn’t a comeback most teams would give up at the 1-0
like, assume you don’t have the time to cap 2 flags, 3-4 minutes left, (sounds unlikely u fast cvap 2 flags suddently) then most teams would just give up right there because there is not a chance to comeback
same for 2-1
I mean, A tie would mean no team would win or loose, so it would still be enough motivation for the other team.
If the enemy can cap and avoid lost of rating, that sounds like a good outcome as well.
yeah, but tie doesn’t work like that in matchmaking
It changed way, way back, when 1 team would score, then they would all turtle up outside their base where the old GY used to be and hold out for the win. Blizzard decided to change the GY locations and give the incentive to people to keep on trying to get the next cap. Wasn’t a fan of the GY relocation but the last cap to win incentive was probably one of their better ideas for the BG’s.
No, that’s intentional, you shouldn’t be letting them uno reverse you in a flag BG you should be aiming for 2 cap at least or depending on the time limit prevent them from getting and leaving with your flag.
