Alongside prioritizing balanced average team ratings, the matchmaker will now try to prioritize balancing classes and specializations across teams if there are multiple of the same class / specialization in the game.
Some adjustments have been made to prioritize higher quality matches with minimal impact on queue times, for both solo and duo queue.
wish they would remove Duo Queue, but here we are.
this should mean no more double rogues Anti capping bases
or double MW monks
One thought it proves everything what’s people says: something broken with MMR. Because why changes?
But blizzard not transparent about MMR system, so this changes for players unknown for unknown. Except classes types balance. I hope this will fix jumps from 1700 to 1500, but honestly I do not believe in that.
If that fix things, I guess will be no complains. But we’ll see. I’ll start in next season. But will keep looking at changes.
People will still be unhappy if they are forced to play with someone whose rating is 1000 higher or lower. Even if someone has a rating of 1200 and has 5 players who have a rating of 300. They won’t lose their rating, but this person will. This is very annoying. Especially since you don’t lose your rating in arenas until about 1500.
Nothing will change significantly because they are not fixing the key problems. Maybe it will be interesting and worth playing for the first two weeks of each season, but after that, if you didn’t have time to play like a maniac in those first two weeks and climb to some higher rating, you will be stuck playing with literally the worst of the worst. With players with 0 skill, experience, game sense and on top of all that, they don’t even care. In random bgs, I’m not joking, I see more meaningful playing with more communication and effort.
Now to all this add standardly bad balance, mmr, matchmaking, and you get a game mode that is a complete mess. The situation is a little better if you play absolutely broken classes, especially duos, but I repeat this game mode will remain a complete mess until blizz makes serious changes, which I doubt will happen.
Look how long shuffle has been on the radar, and what do we have? Still a complete mess. After so much time, they still can’t figure out that it’s not normal to wait 15-40 minutes for a match and get 8 for a win and -20 for a loss. They still can’t figure out mmr. A balance that seems to me to be getting worse and worse with each new expansion.
I used to be optimistic too, but I really haven’t in a long time. I had it with blitz again, but of course it was short lived. Simply wow pvp is not worth the time for a long time, the participation also speaks volumes for that. It can sometimes be fun purely to kill some time, but any serious investment of yourself is actually just a waste of time.
New expansion, new season. Wait another month max and you will see. Already now que time is almost twice as long as at the start of the season, and that at a low rating.
And at the end of the day, what is it worth if they even fix that one thing when they always mess up or ignore 5 other things.
