Yeah i just remembered some nice battles from DF where did run into you a few times… I’m currently only in random bg for lvling alts. For me Blitz is the new random bg. I finally decided to leave my dead server and switched , so might look for an rbg team myself aswell. Think there’s still a quest in ebg so unfortunatly I will have to queue for them every once in a while. But soon as I see premade name I’m gone.

You know, I had games where healers would say If you wont come mid and take orbs do not expect heals from me, and after hearing this, other healers were joining them too.
Surprisngly people started picking orbs and fighting in the middle lol.

PvP participation is thousands
Even less if realize how many people have alts of the same class on ladder and different classes. New players that want to try PvP and join a random bg are mostly getting farmed by premades and have zero chance of winning. So they don’t even bother.
is it even possible to try arena’s as a new player? experienced player will tell you get glad first and then they do arena with you xD new players will get hammered so they quit. as there’s no fun in WoW pvp anymore. Not even the random modes can be joined for fun, as those are taken over by people who tied their life value to honor lvls winrates and hk’s. People running around in premades with 99% winrates for years now. Driving players away from pvp every day. How many people watched the arena tournament? it’s already failed as E sport wich was the only reason Blizz still bothered with pvp.
It’s a shame that in the end it was not blizzard that destroyed WoW PvP but it was the players themselves. If they cheat unranked mode with so much effort and time, they also cheat ranked modes. Everything can be bought nowadays so everything is pretty meaningless anyways. People wintrade get title and think title has meaning lol 
It’s a shame though as personally I find the combat system in wow unmatched.
But there’s Too many people running around who put too much time and effort in ruining the game for others instead of just playing the game it’s pretty crazy. Pretty sure Blitz already infected by them. With such low participation numbers a big group of premade simps has good chance ending up in the same blitz on both sides anyways. Ive already seen people from here intentionally losing
If pvp is not dead yet it’s deffo too toxic. I wouldn’t recommend wow pvp for any new player. You only get farmed by the same premade groups who are 16hours a day farming the unranked gamemodes for honorlvls and winrates so good luck avoiding these clowns. And finding people to do rated with can be extremely challenging and toxic aswell. As most just want easy wins so they demand rating and exp. very rarely you come across a “normal” person who’s willing to teach you or learn together. So yeah, No new players for WoW PvP anymore. And Blizz doesn’t care as pvp has barely participation compared to pve. So I’m not expecting much from them in the form of reworks and updates or anything to attract more players to pvp.

Yes it creates a bad pattern where less participation resaults in less attention from blizz, which then resaults in even lower participation.
Outside of solo shuffle it is indeed very difficult for a new player to get into arena which is why ive been hugely in favor of shuffle despite not enjoying it all that much myself, mostly due to que times.
Beyond that we also have the same antisocial disorders spewing garbage in half of the shuffle lobbies, im not bothered by it myself as i´ve simply been around long enough to not give a crap. I´ve also played league of legends in the past. Its still not a good look for a gamemode that struggles to maintain participation n struggles even harder appealing to new ones.
Not many people are going to willingly sign up to get verbally abused by some bottomfeeding human garbage. Because of this i think BG blitz is a fantastic idea as its a much more simple form of PvP that appeals to a far wider range of players, but as you can see people will still bring along the same personality disorders into that gamemode aswell.
I do want to point out that the majority of the playerbase will not say anything despite being frustrated so just like social media, its a very small but very loud minority n statistically you´re going to encounter them in a quite high percentage of games you play.
The premade situation is complicated as preventing people from playing with their freinds isnt a good idea in an mmorpg either. Quesync premades is a whole other topic but i dont think there is a reasonable solution to the 5 man premades n even 5 man premades are statistically going to obliterate most normal BG´s.
I usually only play with one freind but i´ve played Bg´s with 4 freinds aswell where we easily maintained a 100% winrate without breaking a sweat. Our goal was never to farm winrate or kills but simply playing together.
I dont even know where to locate my kills n winrate, nor do i care to find out as its utterly irrelevant to me.

Yeah when I talk about premades I mean queu synced only. Don’t have much problems with party of max 5 people in normal. Forgot to clarify. I don’t like arena’s so i’m pretty bad at it, so when I returned to DF and tried SS I got a few of those whispers myself lol. I personally am not bothered by them and love making fun of them, but I can understand why people would get offended and quit pvp, specially if new player or new to pvp and are not used to it. These people don’t seem to understand that without new players WoW pvp will eventually die.
Exactly beacuse your main now MM hunter, in prev expansion was some another OP char.
Priskah alway has been MM hunter.

PvE players who got into PvP need to reanimate their dead brains after M+ or Raiding where bunch of addons could play instead of you.
Blizz need to reintroduce Proving Grounds, and made them for PvP as well. Otherwise braindead leveling and PvE mode would create another bunch of zombie players.
My hunter is my main since 2005

there needs to be a rating requirement to play blitz
everyone should require 1600 in any bracket before queuing Blitz
that should stop the PVE yolo scrubs from queuing

The whole point of blitz is to decrease the barrier of entry. Blitz is for everyone and over time, mmr matches the people appropriatly
then maybe it should be a gear request
you can only queue if you have full pvp set
