Blitz Queqe double dps

Why can we not que as 2 dps ? If u gue with a healer that could also mean pocket healing someone which CAN be bad for the team …plus if ur allowing to que as 2 in a SOLO blitz I dont see the problem in letting ppl que with one dps since not many people have friends that play as a healer I think it would be nice to be able to que as dps too .

I agree !! Like u said if we can play with a healer why cant we have a dps :woman_shrugging: id actually love if blizz did that then I can play rated blitz with my friend who only plays dps so yea hopefully blizz will add that in the future :crossed_fingers:

I’d rather them go the other way and stop all duo queuing, including with healers. Why on earth they have duo queuing in what was meant to be a solo queue system is beyond me.

Instead they need to massively up rewards for healers (or at least for healers who actually try to heal; zero rewards for afk leeches) in order to lower queue times that way.

Or have an all-DPS ‘murder mode’ with no healers at all. But again, that should be solo queue not duo queue.

Of course none of this - neither my solution nor yours - is going to happen since they clearly do not want to spend any serious dev time money on PvP.

Double Q for Healers was born out of Solo Shuffle. Blizzard did observe that if allowed, WoW players will play DPS way more than Healers. Add to it constant feedback of SS Healers that our role feels like playing not to lose rather than playing to win. It may sound like one and the same thing but anybody who played healer for any extended period of time knows what I am talking about.

So Healer Duo Q was born.
It greatly rewards playing healer with a friend - simple as. Frankly if you can play with DPS as a Healer, you should. It is purely an advantage for us healers. And I think it was quite succesful in that regard. Healer gameplay when you can coordinate with fellow DPS feels very rewarding and Q times largely reflect that. In prime hours 5 min Q time is a norm even at bleeding edge of MMR.

Why not Double DPS Q?
Well, for once I feel like it would take away from benefits of Healer Duo Q. Look at it this way, imagine yourself a great Rogue player. If given a choice for a partner for BGB which can be any map in the pool would you rather team up with a Mage player with whom you can coordinate CC chains? Or would you rather buddy up with Priest who is not able to help in CC department nearly as much and may often not be there with you to help your solo missions as they are needed in teamfights.

Furthermore, because only healers can Duo Q it means that Matchmaking System has to handle only a small amount of teams it cannot split. If DPS could Duo Q, Matchmaker would have to more often make compromises which would impact either quality of games or lenght of Q if not both.

Last but not least, Healer + DPS or Healer + Healer Duos have much harder time boosting if one of you is significantly weaker than players at MMR you would be playing at. Double DPS team would have easier time boosting which poisons the game for others.

Cause two very high experienced dps do alot more than one healer and dps it will not be a real solo que

Healers in the current design of the game have very little ability to do solo things. DPS can. Healer power lies in enabling others to endure damage of others and to create favourable stalemates.

This is exactly why I take people who write wall of texts with a grain of salt, because it’s all theory and not based in reality.

Bruv, literally top rogue and mistweaver dominate the BGB ladder. Avidance and Mira.

How is what I said not based in reality?

Yes, Double Q is advantage. No wonder Duos win. Especially when you can pick Rogue as one of the partners. The real question is, if Duos were allowed in any combination - would the top Dous run 2 X DPS or DPS and Heal?

I am not sure if the former would win. But that is genuine concern and I reckon Devs were also concerned about it. Hence they opted for the safer option that also ensured that the mode would have enough healers to support good Q durations.

Safest option would be strict solo queue.

Oh for sure!
It would no doubt be most fair. However Devs no doubt feared that Blitz would scare away Healers so they needed this extra carrot for them. And.. I think it worked. So the question is - is making the game scewed towards Duos worth making sure Blitz has enough Healers to keep the Q times short enough for us?

I personally believe that in reality that we live in, it was a good trade.

Duo queue is an exploit. You queue with someone much higher rated and you only get -5 for a loss, but +30 for a win. Duo queue makes Blitz boosting super easy.

I don’t care about its named ‘’ SOLO ‘’.
Because there is an option you can play ‘’ DUO ‘’ if you have HEALER friend.
So its not a solo already. But we are playing mmo to play with someone else. Rated Battleground bracket completetly DEAD.
So how ppl can play Rated BG with their atleast 1 friend.
We dont have option Rated Battleground anymore its DEAD.
Only one option is Rated Blitz atm but cant play atleast DUO while someone has healer can play together.

It’s clear that a strong DPS and a skilled healer can significantly impact the outcome of a battleground. Just as a DPS can carry by dealing damage, a healer can carry by enabling plays—such as base steals, flag captures, and sustained fights. If the current system allows queuing with a healer in what’s called ‘Solo Queue’, then logically, the same should apply to a DPS partner. After all, this setup isn’t truly ‘solo’ anymore.

Considering that players are paying customers—especially in today’s gaming environment—it seems reasonable to allow more flexibility in how we queue. Players should be empowered to play the game in the way that’s most enjoyable and strategic for them, rather than being limited by inconsistent matchmaking rules

hahah could you imagine being in a game vs avidance and seth who are duo queing XD

That’s fine, but it’s always either Avidance and Seth or Avidance and Mira, like someone just pointed out. And honestly, how often are you even going to run into them? You can’t design an entire game around just two players

And like he said, RBGs are basically dead, which leaves you stuck playing with just a healer—adding even more restrictions on how and with whom you can play. That shouldn’t be the case in an MMO.

Currently you can duo queue as healer/DPS but yet can’t queue DPS/DPS, makes zero sense , equally skilled players will have the exact same advantage playing either roll DPS/DPS or Healer/DPS, generally people play more DPS so just having the current system is preventing friends playing together in blitz , and before anyone says just queue RBG , that requires too many players and time, most people these days just want to queue in small groups and have fun, also dosent help that RBG is dying.

So.., I don’t believe that this would change that much on the grand scheme of things but, outside of rogue + monk/evo, very few healer + X combos have the same carry potential as double damage dealer. The reactive game play of healers does not change much with or without a partner. 2 Damage dealers have much better cc and syncronized burst potential.

Moreover, it is much easier for double DD to inc somewhere, than it is for one healer to abandon the teamfight. Feral/rogue can inc LH/mines, resto dudu/rogue is high risk. There are similar issues in silvershard mines (offcarts), deephaul (enemy cart), Eots and so on..

I believe both roles have equal potential to carry in the current meta. As we speak, a healer/DPS duo is dominating Blitz, as someone just pointed out. If healer/DPS combos didn’t have a significant impact, they wouldn’t be leading in performance. Also, let’s not forget—you’re playing with six other people; this isn’t an arena.

If your team is getting completely outplayed by just two players—whether it’s a DPS/DPS or healer/DPS duo—that reflects more on the team coordination than on the game balance itself. So on that point, we’ll just have to agree to disagree.

Sounds like someone wants to get boosted

I dont think anyone would really care if you were able to queue double dps , at the end of the day its a express version of RBG , to be able to queue as healer / dps but not double dps is strange, you either allow both or just remove it completely and make it solo queue, maybe that’ll make people queue RBG more because it’s currently dead, and to the random people who post complete junk like the guy above me without adding anything constructive, get a life or get some friends to play with because you’re clearly upset
