I don’t mean this figuratively, I’d spend whole hours in queue (up to 2 hours of not joining other instances) and not a single Blitz queue.
What I suspect might be reason is my egregious score of 3-12 and a noticeable losing streak. I didn’t really troll but I joined without being familiar with Blitz-specific rules (my mistake) and having not played retail for a couple xpacs.
I noticed when I joined queue as Unholy (as opposed to Frost) I did get a pop in less than 30 minutes and avg queue time finally showed again.
Might be, you fell so much down in MMR that people affected by the same losing streak you could have formed a group with simply gave up queuing and use other toons which are not bricked yet…
You might be stuck in a bracket without enough unlucky souls hit by the same losing streak queuing to ever form a match
3 - 12 is a pretty bad start, you got hit hard there… Even if you manage to get into a match there and there, you might be caught in such a terrible loop of low quality games that getting out of this low MMR trap could cost you your sanity… I suggest to start again with a diferent toon tbh.
