Blitz Rating System

Explain to me how the DH in my team is 22-26 and 1870 rating meanwhile im 28-13 and 1750. I can give dozens of examples like this. The rating system which u gain max 23 after 1500 is boooooring enough and now this ? Do I literally have to play 300 games and wish for a distribution of justice to showcase my skills and carry games to just be 2400 rating if Im lucky ?

Just shows how broken their rating system is.

My games look like this
I que one and win
i que another and i insta lose and it’s not like i can do anything i’m in team with people doing random stuff
que another i win cause for some reason i’m in team that do objectives and play and talk.
my winrate is 50-50
is that coincidence???

It doesn’t help. Just magical random m8.

There’s a bug where if you leave or DC from games you actually benefit from it because it doesn’t change your MMR.

Your first chunk of games are all placement though, it seems to even out after a few more match’s

is this for real ??? rofl then i can make it to 4000k cose most of the time i know from the start the chances of win . ROFL

Tell me if you think this is reasonable:
I played 2 x for 1h and 45min.

1st time I lost 3 in a row and won 1 and the rating change was as follows:

  • First game: -13
  • Second game: -13
  • Third game: -13
  • Forth game: +5

Therefore, after playing that long, I was down -34 points.

Then I played next day and I incredibly won 4 games in the same 1h and 45 min; and the rating was as follows:

  • First game: +5
  • Second game: +7
  • Third game: +11
  • Forth game: +11

Totalling 34 points.

In conclusion, in 3h and 30 minutes I lost 3 games and won 5; and have seen 0 change in my rating and spend the majority of that time queueing.

Blizzard, if you see this, please respond and explain how this is reasonable.

Thanks.

Probably for the same reason that my reward for finally getting a win after 15 losses in a row and 200 rating loss was 0 rating +. Because it’s absolute nonsense.

Dont wanna be rude here but maybe look up the mmr system.
If you lose alot your mmr goes down, and if your cr is a lot higher than your mmr and you don’t win. You will lose alot of cr and vice versa what is it that is so complex about this system you people seem to not understand.

Now if you keep winning while your mmr goes up. at some point you wont even lose cr for losing since ur playing at level way higher than ur cr.

Its not complex and it isn’t a mystery.

if you wanna climb win most of the lobbies where the average lobby mmr is lower than your cr.

Also keep in mind there are 20 placement games where this logic dont apply you’ll be put in lobbies x20 of 1500 mmr ± 200

It is. It’s entirely bugged. It’s not functioning like you think it is. It rewards you for leaving.

Example. Exactly the same games played together on an alt with my partner. He DC’d from one match. Although I managed to win while he was DC. He lost 200 rating for DCing/leaving the match, but we continued to play all the identical same matches after he came back from DCing, and he jumped ahead of me by almost 200 rating.

We were in the exact same matches, only he DC’d from one. MMR is fishy, and bugged.

I cant comment on disconnects but what i wrote is true.

I’m saying it’s bugged and not working as intended, and I wouldn’t put it past them that MMR is bugged in other ways.

Point is, it’s not working as intended. So saying it’s simple to understand just isn’t true, because it doesn’t work when you throw in the variables.

I won a game and my next game was 100 MMR lower.

It also depends on time of day you play the lobby averages will be much lower if its 24.00-14.00 you play. <— this here idk why this happens its either player shortage of a certain mmr treshhold so the algorithm have to stretch the lobbies you will be placed into or something else. But that’s my experience.

If you lose 2 games and then win the next your mmr will not increase that much it’ll likely be the same next game or lower but if you keep winning 3-4 in a row it’ll increase by 100-200 each time you win until you hit 2.9-3k.

Expect a 100 ish standard deviation of lobby averages you gonna be placed into since your mmr is just 1/10 of the available (hypothetical personal mmr’s).

The mmr system they’re using makes no sense and what you’re saying also doesn’t seem to be true.

Stuck around 1500-1600 for a while - 50/50 win/loss ratio - losing a game consistently is -13; winning a game is +5, 7 or 11.

How does it make sense for the punishment to be significantly greater than the reward every time without fail?

That is not remotely true or either the blitz is bugged. I did 6-0 in a row my rating remaind at 1390 I never played blitz it was a fresh 6-0 in a row so what is happening here?

People saying is not true… many times in multipl topics. People says MMR is good. People says anything. Fact: MMR not bugged, it’s simply stupid. I really don’t understand what blizzard wants to achieve.

So, I was stack at 1400 and 1600. I accidentaly lose, -400. Yeah, disconnects. And jump in to 1600+ very comfortable. I’ve gonna verify it and leave BG twice within my alt. And yes. No matter which MMR, win/lose ration, before 1400 and after 1600 it goes normally give or take. But 1600 MMR pit also real.

This MMR and CR system entirely doesn’t make sense! Blizzard tried did something new maybe, or I do not know, but implementation as always.

And there is normal way to fix your MMR except losing streak (i mean big one) or disconnect and lose CR in that way.

But I really stop thinking even about rate BG’s. Because it broken in any case… I can’t play without negative reaction when Monks takes flags, or DD monks ofter unkillable, or FM control or MM… its just broken toy.

It’s true, but it doesn’t work properly as per the other threads … something isn’t quite working right. My MMr is a lot higher than a game I got thrown into and I lost 20 rating because the guys just brawled and didn’t play properly, write in chat or seemingly have any idea what was happening :man_shrugging:t2:

So yeah please done think I’m some giga advocate for this system, that’s just how it is supposedly working…

you gain this little because your mmr is equal or lower to your CR the matchmaking algorithm knows you can win this game and since you lose the algorithm tries to put your mmr lower next time. Until your mmr matches your CR. In your 20 placement games this logic dont apply you’ll get 1500 mmr ± 200 mmr games for 20 games.
